Criticizing Mathews is harsh and idiotic. I prefer they don't rush Marner back into the lineup, shoulder injuries can linger if not allowed to heal properly.
I was wondering what happened to Stu Percy, I considered him a sure bet to make the team by now. He was not tendered a contract after his entry level, he signed with the Penguins.

Another horrible pick from Burke's "truculence" era. Both he and Biggs were wasted 1st Rounders in 2011. Leivo is all they have to show for that draft.
Kadri, Conner Brown, Morgan Reilly and Freddy the Goat are still left from the Burke Era.
I have to give Brian Burke is due for the 2012 Draft, Morgan Reilly (5) and Connor Brown (156), I'm becoming a big fan of the later. He makes the most of what he has.

Yes but you got win a few of those 3 on 3 OTs to get to the playoffs. Which is why prefer a sister kisser.
This is his first full season and this break from action for a few games may give him the rest he needs to have a dynamite finish of the remaining season.
Agreed on both counts. Matthews is a very talented youngster and will only get better.
Marner should be given the time needed to heal fully before getting back into the action, as his injury will be a target when he comes back.

I like this deal Boyle brings size and his skating is decent for his size. He's experience too. Should be a solid 3rd or 4th liner. And should help the Leafs against the larger/heavy California teams.
