Believe it or not,Leafs can follow another team's blue print from the Oilers during the off season. The Oilers improved by adding muscles in Lucic,Maroon and even one time washed up,Kassian! Maybe, Leafs should trade for Corey Perry?
I'm pretty sure the Leafs are not following the Oilers blue print because the Leafs have their own blue print that will be envy of the NHL. And "No" the Leafs don't want washed up has been stars like Corey Perry.
Let's look at the Oilers blueprint and where they've finished in recent years, despite winning the draft lottery 4 times between 2010-2015. It's about time they made the playoffs.
2010-2011 - 30th.
2011-2012 - 29th.
2012-2013 - 24th.
2013-2014 - 28th.
2014-2015 - 28th.
2015-2016 - 29th.
As for Corey Perry, no thanks!
