Torrentz and Kickass gone

Several Kickass mirrors sprung up within 24 hours. The one's I've browsed appeared to include all the content of the original site. Google for the sites, but an example: http://kickasstorrents.to/
That said ...... be careful. I don't ever log in to these other sites as they could be just be looking to steal your passwords.
Pirate Bay is still a good source. YIFY has also returned via mirrors, but I don't find the content as up to date.

I was so used to torrentz, torrentfreak has some good leads

You could do it with Genesis but its no longer maintained. Actually you can still download it in specto. You just right click on the source and select download item.
Sad day! With Kickass and Torrentz gone it's only a matter of time before they bring down Pirate Bay
Pirate Bay was shut down 1-2 years ago, but it was back-up within a few months to it's former glory, just in a different domain. Kickass, YIFY and Torrentz are already back as mirrors in different domains. Google and a few other news sites such as torrentfreak will help you find the new sites.
Just don't register and logon - especially so if you use the username/password combo elsewhere.
I've not had allot of luck with Android boxes / Kodi / XBMC. I dislike that you constantly have to find the latest hot app and how you have to search through the various streams within the app for one that works well. One day a stream works, 8 hours later it doesn't. I realize torrents can be a hassle too, but Android boxes seem to be the next level up of hassle. That said, they certainly have their benefits - instant-on streaming, slightly safer than Torrents, lots of content.
ISOHUNT is still around, MONOVA is another one, 1337x is another. eztv is still great for tv shows. Still pirate is my fav and kickass was number 2, being able to use both was awesome. This link works for kickass, but it is missing something.
