The amount Man United paid for a striker like Lukaku is mind boggling. We have seen strikers perform well at some clubs but are a flop at other clubs. Lukaku will be a good signing but it is to be seen if he will be worth that amount. Very surprising that a club like Chelsea were outbid in the process.

Everton have made a meal out of their sale and have spent the most in the English Premier League on new signings.

The present transfer structure cannot continue as is.

The infusion of blood money as taken a toll on International football. According to Sportstek Manchester United is the most indebted football club in the world, in the red to the tune of $536 million. I'm not buying it entirely, Putin lackey Roman Abramovich has underwritten Chelsea by $ 1.6 billion. I can uderstand Inter's debt, not being in the CL but Benfica's debt makes no sense.

A club like Sunderland who have just been relegated to a lower division may suffer the same fate as clubs like Portsmouth and Leeds who were once in the top flight of the EPL. Apparently, a number of EPL clubs owe big bucks to a Bermuda based "Pay Day" Loan Company. However, new legislation means that such a company cannot be used to fund the EPL teams.

No but their contracts are usually renegotiated for more money. In total, Paul Pogba cost Manchester United $152 million.

BREAKING NEWS. Ac Milan have signed Leonard Bonucci from Juventus. Unbelievable, and with the additions of Lucas Biglia and Andrea Conti, Milan has bult a wall in front of Donnarumma.

They're not fucking around!

Ac Milan's defense going into this season is: Donnarumma, Biglia, Romangnioli, Bonucci and Conti.

And they're not done yet, they are making a move for Andrea "Gallo" Belotti. Realistically this is a long shot, Torino has an $80 million buyout clause on the player. But I wouldn't put it past Mirabelli.

A closer look at Milan's new Director of Football Operations. He was the Director of Scouting for Southampton for six years. He took the same job with Inter Milan in the summer of 2014. Now he's getting his chance to run a prestigious club. Speaking of prestige, Pep Guardiola isn't happy. He's been wooing Bonucci for over a year, the Italian took less money to move to Milano.

Pep is also very upset with Dani Alves going to PSG. He felt that with their past mutual relationship, Alves should have sounded out Man City first.

Personally. I'd rather live and work in Pahree than in Man (uglier than the back of a fridge) chester.

Jamaica 2 Canada 1

Coach Zambrano upset the chemistry of the team by starting Cyle Larin over Lucas Cavallini. Larin may be more talented but he didn't stand up defenders and create scoring chances for others like Cavallini was doing. It made it very easy for the Jamaicans to defend against them. And why was Jonathan Osorio left on the bench when Canada's play was begging for a distributor. Still since the Men's program has been at rock bottom for so long this is an improvement.

Bayern Munich are going to find out in a hurry why James Rodriguez was surplus to requirements. He's great on the attack, a disaster when the other club is on the offense. So PSG want to flaunt their blood money by offering to pay Neymar's buyout clause of 222 million Euros - Barca should go for it. As it stands nether Barca nor PSG will win any silverware this year. Real is making all the right moves and could win their third straight CL Title.

Not sure what to make of this....AC Milan 4 Bayern Munich 0

The match was held in Shanghai to a packed house made up entirely of rossoneri. Not sure if the attendance was spontaneous or government ordered. Berlusconi has been much maligned but he did leave the club with a good core of talented youngster for the new Chinese owners to build upon. Milan are in the Europa League this campaign, since Juve cant get the job done in the CL, I'm hoping that Milan returns soon.

Two items that were made clear this match. Milan are serene in defense with Bonucci and, with James in Bayern's lineup, they go down a man when they have to defend.

The concacaf finals tonight ... USA vs. Jamaica ... I can see the US winning but I'm kinda rooting for the raggae boys to upset.

USA 2 Jamaica 1.

Altidore shows his class. You knew the Americans were going to improve once Jurgen Klinsmann got the sack.

So now I must affix the "blood money" tag to the Milano clubs. Grudgingly I hope they do well, Juventus can't get it done on the European stage. AC's most important pick up could be Franck Kessie (pictured above piggybacking Cortone) he's a bulldozer in midfield. If he stays fit he'll make life easier on Bonaventura who was abused last season. I'm shocked he's only 21, he chose less money to stay in Italy rather than move to Tottenham.

He's so far proving the pundit wrong with his play.

Kylian Mbappe and Moise Kean, future superstars. Mbappe shouldn't get greedy, staying at Monaco will be good for him.

It wouldn't surprise me if Franck Kessie was older.
They keep poor birth records in Ivory Coast

Who's the girl?

Possibly but Kessie has been in the Primavera since his mid teens, they would have determined his real age by now. Had a breakout season last year, nearly getting Atalanta into the CL.
