I installed windows 10 on my desktop as I knew I would eventually have to with dx12 only being available for Windows 10. Figured I might as well get used to it.
I may be in the minority but I like win10. There are a few features like Cortina or how applications are laid out I'm not a fan of. However I've seen a decrease in start up time not only when booting up but applications load up faster.
This was most evident in games such as battlefield 4. When I had win7 it would take sometimes what seemed like an eternity for a map to load. On win10 I beat everyone getting into the start of the game.
While certain things do annoy me with win10, the increase speed on my rig more than makes up for those minor annoyances. After using win10 for a while and liking the experience, I installed it onto my lenovo ThinkPad to the same sort of performance increase.
