Anyone have any experience with these folks' and their credit cards?
I didn't know know they operated in Canada.

Am thinking of applying for a card from them and taking advantage of the 12 month no interest on balance transfers.

Anyone done this? Or know of anything to watch out for?

I had one a long time ago. Took advantage of the same. Nothing out of the ordinary. The rate is accurate (save for perhaps a transfer fee very likely) and then after the period it reverts to a normal credit card rate.

Their no-fee credit card pays its cash back formula directly to you as soon as it reaches $50. That's nice. My girlfriend gets her money every three months or so. My CIBC platinum card, by contrast, only does it once a year, and there's a $79 annual fee. The MBNA is a good credit card - it's a Mastercard.

It is always good to have a MasterCard around. Costco accepts it and Walmart is screaming about not accepting Visa.

Two summers ago when I landed in Singapore, I was caught by surprise when I found out that all of their taxi's accept MasterCard only. Lucky that I bought some Singapore dollars ahead of time, instead of the usual wait until I arrived at the hotel and exchange money later.

I have one too. It started off as a card I got for a free t-shirt at a Buffalo Bills football game lol. My card has a Buffalo Bills logo. And yes, it's owned by TD Bank, and the website is a dot 'ca' one.

P.S. The interest rate might be higher folks.

As a Costco member, they dropped the Amex card and replaced it with a Mastercard.

I just recently got the MBNA Rewards card. No fee, 2% cashback and 5,000 bonus points after my first eligible purchase. Sounds good.

The CIBC platinum Visa card annual fee is being raised to $99, and they have played around with their cash back policy a bit, to their benefit and not to mine. The MBNA cash-back MasterCard is a better way to go, imo.

I think it's only 1% cashback. The MBNA Rewards World Elite gives you 2% cashback, 10,000 bonus points. $89 annual fee after the first year, but still well worth it if you spend a lot each month.

The card is called "MBNA Reward". I thought the reward was 2% but another member said 1%.
Yeah, there is actually a level higher than that, if you qualify for it, I thinks it's called world elite or something
