Shooting at Eaton Centre

Emergency crews have been called to the Eaton Centre after reports of a shooting inside the mall food court.
"I heard a mother say, 'my son was shot,'" a man named Sergio told CityNews.
"We were just in the food court when I heard this sound. I turned around and I saw one man firing shots...Within seconds this big guy just fell beside me. I'm not sure if he's dead, but he fell."
Paramedics took one man out of the mall on a stretcher. He was rushed to St. Michael's hospital, where he remains.
The mall was packed with shoppers at the time of the 6:30 p.m. incident and was later evacuated.
CityLine's Patrick Reynolds was inside the mall with his 13-year-old daughter at the time.
"We were locked inside the store. We were herded to the back and told to get down and turn off the lights," he said.
"That's never happened to me before."
Subway service was shut down between Bloor and Union stations for the investigation.

Initial twitter reports indicate the shooter is black, 18-25.

I'm sure the Toronto Star will find reason to call this "racist" somehow.
The incident today sounds eerily similar to the Boxing Day shooting back in 2005, where a gang-related shooting on Yonge Street just north of Eaton Centre killed Jane Creba and left 6 other people wounded.
That is nuts. wtf is going on. I don't remember the news being this scary in a looong time. There is so much going on. I feel bad because I have family that live in that area and frequent the eaton's center often. that is some scary ish right there
another example of racist hypocrisy and outrage a white man who show signs of psychopathic behavior for years and and nobody gives a shit nobody investigated him even recently murdered a man cut up his body to pieces and mailing them all over the damn place and is on the run. still nobody gives a shit. nobody asked why white males always commit these kinds of psychopathic crimes, but today a shooting a happens in a mall and a suspect listed as a black male. everybody suddenly becomes fearful and the same usual stereotypical bullshit starts.
no one gives a shit about the dude that cut up and mailed body parts cuz it was last week. this is this weeks news story. short attention span of the mass society.
