HI There,

I had a bad experience leaving Virginia's the other night and just wanted to know if anyone else had any troubles similar or if my rights were violated. I came out of the mp and was followed by a police officer, I was not breaking any traffic laws or anything but he pulled me over about 3 blocks away. He started going on about me being in the mp and asked for liscence and registration. The car was put in my wifes name because its cheaper for insurance, and he started saying he was going to call her and tell her where I was. He then told me that he could arrest me for prostitution and bascially threatend me. HE then said he was going to put me in his report that if Im caught out there again they would call and tell my wife. Now maybe its me, but this felt like a complete violation of my rights, I did nothing but the normal massage, I thought the mp were legal except for extras which basically could never really be proven unless it was a cop in the first place??

I can't see how they can do any of that. Even pulling you over for no reason is harrasment. For all he knows you were an electrician rewiring a light fixture there.

I think it is only a power abusement of a bad cop. He has no evidence that you really went to the mp even so it is a licensed place !!! If I'm single and have nothing to lose, I would submit a formal complain on this bad cop. Let them focus on dealing with the real criminals rather than ordinary law-abiding citizens like most of us.
