I know this is way off topic but do Canadians follow horse racing like us Southeners do? I know horse racing is popular because I went to the Breederes Cup at Woodbine several years ago and saw Cigars' last race. Is anybody up for posting their favorite
prospect in the Derby { before the race runs of course}? I was a
big Buddha fan but he scratched. I am now betting on Saarland.
I know its hockey playoffs but...

Yes its true , women frequently expose themselves adding to the party atmosphere of the derby infield and I suppose it is arrogant of a horse owner to name a horse after a major worldwide deity
but if you had a bet on Budha I guarantee you would be rooting for him down the stretdh if he didn't scratch.

Don't get me started!

Bob;

I didn't have a Derby pick this year. However, thoroughbred horseracing, handicapping & wagering has been an advocation of mine for many years.

The Fort Erie racetrack and simulcasting facility is one of my 2nd homes.

Over the years, I've been fortunate enough to have funded more then a few SC and SP outings with some well placed wagers:)

I'm wondering if there are any other TERB members who are serious and dedicated to the sport?

I love horses, don't follow the derby. Saw the story today about one of the favoured dropping out because of a bruised leg. The horse name Buddha. I have a strong interest in and respect for Buddhism. It's incredibly rude of the owner to have given this name to his horse. Imagine how a Christian would feel to hear a dog called Jesus Christ. (As opposed to what you exclaim when he takes a shit on the rug! ;) )
