Mix Up the Girls

It seems that they have the same girls on the dayshift all the time. I'd like to see a bit of a mix up with different girls doing different shifts.

I'd also like to see the lighting increased slightly on the stage and in the common areas. I walk in from the outside and I"m blind for like 2 minutes until my eyes adjust.

Daytime Wait Staff Has Too Go ! Get Rid Of The Nasty Looking Dancers And Get Some Hotties....Oh And The Young Dickhead Night Time Managers That Sit Around And Get Drunk With The Ladies Have Too Go....Taking The Ladies Away From Us "The Paying Customers" And One More Final Suggestion Would Be To Get The Patio Licensed Or Turn The Bar To A Private Club Like They Do In The Falls, So We Can Smoke And Drink At The Same Time

Thanks

That patio was licensed last year because I did go for a smoke and was able to take my drink out back with me. I would guess that they must of lost that privlige for some reason.

As far as the bouncers go I agree they need to get some guys that are polite and nice. They could also be a bit more discrete when checking the VIP rooms. I hate when they walk in and stare at you like your some type of criminal, not to mention sometimes they will stand there for the entire song and watch the girls dance for the customers. (VERY APPAULING).

There really isn't any good club left in Hamilton and this one with some fixing could be one of the best in the area.

Oh by the way "HamStrip" are you the owner of this establishment?

I remember reading an article in the Spec that the councillor(??) for that area petitioned City Hall to withdraw the license based on alleged complaints from residents nearby. IIRC, it was Bob Bratina...

I don't know about the bouncer thing because I rarely go there at night, but I definitely agree with the thing about the daytime wait staff...I was in there Monday afternoon & got my own beer after waiting for 8 min. for them to finish their chat.

Also, definitely change up the rotation!

I grew up in Hamilton/Burlington - it's always been a bad area for peeler joints and MP's. They go up and are quickly closed by municipality due to complaints. Hamilton/Burlington has always been very WASP in my book. We always had to go to St Cat's or NF for "entertainment". God, I actually remember the old Hannarhans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The back seat by the man bathroom needs fixing. Just putting a new fabric doesn't mean it is comfortable. It needs new cushions.

Also girls should be allowed to be in patio for a limited time.

Waitress always seems to be short of change and they have to go back to get some.

More paper towels in the bathroom or dispensers same with air dryers.

Believe it or not you get woman customers now. Many time when I am there I can tell it's their first time. SO they can't find the bathroom. Nor are they sure if they can enter where the strippers enter. Also this tricky Some of these females patrons may be reluantan to enter because they see a boiuncer walking in there or the clothing guy.

I seen some guy walk in the woman change rooma nd walk out with some clothes. I assumed he is from the laundromat to wash the ladies cloths. Of course if a female sees this how can she feel safe to use the facilities?

who cares about what the lady patrons want. It's a mens club.
As far as the change from the waitress, don't you tip?
It's a bit of a tacky maneuvre to play the "I don't have enough change" card, but let them have the buck for bringing your lazy ass a beer. LOL

Other than that, more hot ladies please and thank you. :D

Yes, ladies do sometimes come with male friends to a peeler joint, and yes, we'd like them to be comfortable with the environment. Why not? Every time I've been accompanied by a female, it's been a blast. And as for tips, I am sure the majority of us tip. What is really cheesy on the part of any service provider is the "assumed tip", whether it's a waitress or an MPA that doesn't have that change for your twenty. If the service is good, we tip, but a tip should never be mandatory - haven't some reviewers mentioned that the waitress at the Strip is a bitch? Should she get a tip? (I can't say, haven't been there since it was Hanrahan's.)

Eveything above is true. it is a blast to go with girls which it seems some here haven't before like Mylilpoony. Alos I don't care exact change so why should I tip $16 plus change?

And believe me I had waitress try to pull a fast one on me in any SJ. Once one took $2.00 for a tip from a $3.00 drink. The next round no tip and she complained. She tried to win the arguement but ....no cigar.

3 dollar drink when was the last time you were at a strip club

Wondering the same since the last time I was there, maybe a month ago, I had couple of beers with my buddies I was done drinking but they were still looking for some fun. So I asked the waitress about something without alcoholic content herad the magic word of coffee and was nailed almost $4 for a tiny cup of very weak and luke warm coffee.
Now yes they are a bar and beer and other alcoholic beverages are the main sales. But what about the guy who is being some what responsible for getting the rest of the group home, they get cold drinks think I could get a hot coffee?
As for tipping there are 4 waitresses there that over time I have dealt with alot and as always my tip per drink is rounded up to the next buck. However when that means the tip would be less than satisfying (IMHO) throw in the extra buck. I found it to be worth it even though I don't frequent there as often as I used to.
The things I would like to see happen there well gee some newfaces in the ladies and get ride of the doormen with egos. Namely the one bald one.

Free non-alcoholic drinks for the DD

If your buddies are paying for drinks and you're the one trying to be responsible, the bar should give you all the fountain pop you can drink. Christ! It only costs them about 10 cents a glass. Same goes for coffee. I'd still tip the waitress for bringing it, though.

Cheap dances

I was thinking about this thread last night and it occured to me that everything people have said in reply has been secondary to what would really bring guys in. Cheaper dances. Plain and simple.

Honestly, if you rolled back the clock to $5 table dances and $10 lap dances (ahh, remember those days?) guys would drive for miles to come to your joint.

Sure, the girls would protest at first, but then ask them how they feel about it when they`re working steady for their whole shift instead of sitting on their ass waiting for Mr. Moneybags to walk in the door.

Don`t cash grab by charging a cover for the door or the lounge when I`m paying through the teeth for drinks. And whatever you do, don`t put some guy in the bathroom to hand me a paper towel and expect a tip. (See my thread on Solid Gold regarding this)

Too many clubs try to project the image of an upscale gentlemen`s club by raising their prices and putting snobby bouncers in tuxedos at the door. There seems to be this assumption that guys who go to strip clubs like to throw money away so they don`t mind paying $7 for a beer, $5 cover at the door, a $10 (or $20) cover to get into the VIP lounge and then $20 a song for a dance (and you can be damn sure that songs been cut short by the DJ). Maybe there are some guys out there who like to blow that kind of money but there`s lots of money to be made off the regular working joe.

Honestly, I`m not going to SCs any more. I go to MPs. 30 mins for $120 gets me NR or even a BS in some places. At a strip club, 30 mins would cost you almost $200... and for what?

Sure, strip clubs can offer entertainment value that is different than an MP but unless I feel like I`m getting my money`s worth, I`m not going back.

Forgot to mention: I don`t mind paying a cover if I`m getting a show and the drink prices are not outrageous. But if I`ve paid a cover, don`t pressure me to keep buying more drinks. I like to sip my beer and relax.

I get in their every-other-week-or-so in the early-evening and like the staff and girls, but have a few thoughts for you.
[ a ] Fix that huge hole on the John Street side-entrance.
[ b ] Make some arrangement with those guys who buttonhole every driver between your parking lot and your front door.
[ c ] Tell the bouncer it’s okay to node and mumble Hi to guys when they come in. He doesn’t have to give us a used-car-salesman greeting, but that “please give me a reason to stomp your lights out attitude” could be softened somewhat. We know why he’s there without that mean-ass scowl.
[ d ] Put in an ATM machine and stop the supervised Interac cash-grab system where customers pay you a bonus. You’ll lose that 10% on a few transactions, but I’ll bet you’ll gain more in the long run. I’ve left early several times, rather than go through that BS to get the cash for a few more beers. I’m paying $8 w/tip for beer as it is . . . why do you need $6 more because I’m too damn lazy to drive/walk up to that Korean convenience store’s ATM for a little more cash.
[ e ] Put in paper towels. I feel like a jerk standing with my hands under some not-very-hot half-assed blower-thing for 2 minutes. I’m paying $8 w/tip for beer, how about some of the regular amenities I get in places with $4 beers.
[ f ] Sorry, but the Hamilton Stripe scene is way-stale, with the ‘same-old’ – ‘same-old’ every time you drop in. So do things just to make it different once and a while.
Pick a slow day-part and ask the dancers to support a 2-for-1 Happy Hour Event to give the DJ something to talk-up.
Have the cook promote some snack-special at a special price-point a couple of times a day.
Include a small bag of pretzels with the beer on Tuesdays.
Number the tables and have a dancer do an on-stage draw at the start of her set - so one of the guys at the ‘Lucky Table’ gets a free dance voucher from their waiter, for that dancer. Again, it’s something for the DJ to talk-up . . . and besides, what guy is going to take a dances to the VIP room for his ‘Free’ dance without paying for a second dance.
Stuff like that just may keep it from being so damn boring in your place.
[ g ] Personally, I’d put in a second bar on the wall opposite the present one, where customers can buy drinks directly from an attractive female bar tender. Some guys like to hang at the bar and chat up a sexy bar-maid-type. Sorry Robby, you’re a great bar tender, but I’m thinking a well-endowed chick who can do a lot of bending over stuff to flirt her way into the hearts of a new customer base. Knave

Here Here

Excellent points Knave and Yorke. I have been disappointed with the Strip virtually every time I go. Girls are okay but one night in particular I was hit up by 7 different girls before I got my first beer. Most of the girls are fine with maybe later just settling in thanks, but some get kind of pissy about it. Also, what ever happened to shows, real shows. My 2 cents.

Hamilton Area
We all know that prices for anything aren't going to be rolled back...but I do agree with the atm thing.

To be blunt my experience at most places in this area is that everything is a cash grab. Owners are very quick to raise prices or add things like cover charges etc... but offer nothing in return. Same girls, same atmosphere etc...

The biggest improvement that any SC can make is the show. Plain and simple. I F'ING HATE watching girls shuffle around on stage while admiring themselves in the mirrors...hot or not. These girls need to learn that we've all seen boobs and meat curtains before so they need to catch our interest in other ways. Athletic dancing (does that make sense) is a great start. I always remember the girls who work hard on the stage...and I usually get dances from them.

I don't know what it's like now but I used to drive out to the whiskey in concord on occasion and the show was always great...hot chicks dancing up a storm and having fun with each other and the audience.

It's all about attitude....that's what I say...

Does the Lighting Need To Be That Low?

Is there some type of Hamilton Bylaw that states the lighting in the clubs and mostly on the stage needs to be that dark?

I mean I come in from the outside and I'm almost blind for the first couple of minutes or so until my eyes adjust.

I'd love to be able to actually have the lights brighter on the stage so you can see a bit better is this possible or not?

Oh i've also noticed in the last couple of weeks that the afternoon shift is getting a lot smaller (maybe 10 girls instead of the usual 15 to 20). What's that about?
