Anyone heard of this stuff?

It's a herbal supplement made from the bark of an African tree that's supposed to supercharge your sex life -- kind of like a natural alternative to Viagra, I guess.

Wondering if a) it works; and b) it's available in Toronto.

Thanks.

Yes it works. What is available as an herbal product over the counter or by mail is actually just capsules containing the ground bark so it is not very potent but you can feel the difference. It is also available as a tincture that you can take orally. I am not certain as to its availability in Canada OTC but I have purchased it often in the US both at pharmacies and from Nutition or herbal stores.

I have taken it by prescription from a urologist. The prescrption drug is called Yocon and yes it works very well of course, because it is a synthetic form of the active ingredient in the bark (Yohimbine) in a very concentrated form. Compared to the health food type the prescription form is very powerful.

It is not at all like Viagra, although it too encourages blood flow to the penis and helps in that way. It has a few side effects too as I found, which may be annoying to some.

In a place far, far away
rr_bill is correct, it actually does work. The claim is that it acts on the area of the brain that controls arrousal. According to the Journal of Urology taking 3 three times daily (dosage 5.4mg) was more effective than a placebo. But there are no OTC supplements that contain enough of a dosage i.e. you need a prescription to get the that potency - enough of the active ingredient.

Good luck

If you go to a search engine like: www.google.com
and type in "Yohimbe", you'll discover plenty of sites that will provide you with all the detailed information you'll need.

Thanks for the feedback, gang.
I've done some research on Yohimbe and have a general idea about it based on what I've read on the internet.
I guess I was really looking for "testimonials" from people who have purchased it in Toronto (where it is notoriously hard to find) and what their experiences using it were like.

well in the past i have tried this "herb" and it all depends on your intentions.. i originally tried it as a supplement for weight training it was touted as the next best thing to steriods.. well the only thing i got was a hard on that didn't want to go down.. it makes u very horny and gives u a hardon that will not go away.. this after 2 weeks of taking it twice daily.. did not work for building muscle but gave u the stamina of an 18 yr old.. the current ones like nor-andro and androtestdione (?) also gives the libido a major boost and was more effective in building mass and strength.. however it work too much like a steriod.. agression also increased, irritation, stress, blood pressure and tightness in the chest all from the current nor-andros and androtestdiones.. but Yohimbe great for the sex drive.. it also increased irritation, agression but not as much.. hope this helps..
ps it is readily available even displayed in some stores in Toronto.. hell i was able to get it under the table in every supplement store in ontario just by asking.. but u may have to be a regular customer..

yohimbine has been around forever. There may be some very slight subtle effects only. For those with true problems with ED it will not work. Otherwise there would be no need for viagra. If it works your problem is most likely in your head.
