No surprises, really. Dubya was clearly trying to play both sides of the Christian fence, but that's nothing new.
So Dubya smoked a little weed when he was younger. Big deal. So he had an issue with alcohol. He got a handle on it, and for that I give him full credit.
But there's a lesson here, and not only for politicians: Be careful who you trust. I make no secret that I think Bush Jr. is simply not up to the task, but this betrayal by a friend and former colleague is way over the top.
This is probably one of the reasons why people of substance, intellect and backbone don't get elected.
