$125.00 for the chip and $10.00 per game.

I dont know where to get it modified but make sure you get it modded with the harddrive - just copy the game right to the hard drive - I have it for my xbox and it is the way to go!

unrelated...but if anyone likes violent games, and I mean violent, then I recommed The Punisher, for Xbox and PS2

PS3, yes i said 3, is coming out in the late fall of this year. They will only be selling it as a bundle package. Probably cost upwards of $1000 for the bundle.

I, for one, will wait at least till 2006 before i even think about purchasing the PS3 console.

The PS3 will not be out until at least late 2006. Sony hasn't even sent out the development kits yet. Once they receive them, developers will need some time to make games. I work in the industry, but you don't need to work in the biz to know that there is no way the PS3 will be released this year. Pick up a magazine dude. The Xbox 2 will be out this Christmas. Sony has repeatedly said they don't feel the time is right to abandon the PS2 for the next gen consoles.

I guess the magazine i picked up, a December issue (cant remember the magazine name - PS2 or Gamers something or other) was misinformed, either that or Sony changed thier minds after the issue was printed. Thanks for the heads up though DenWa.

AFAIK, some teams at EA have ps3 dev kits.

Otherwise, I agree with DenWa.

Sony does not want to launch the PS3 unless they have to.

They currently dominate this generation of consoles. Why start over and have to reclaim market share next-gen if they don't have to.
