Sometime ago, questions were raised as to comparative crime rates in Canada and the US. I can't find the thread in which this discussion took place. However, in case anyone is still interested, here is a link to a Statistics Canada webpage, on the issue:

Interesting thread.

You should post the link in the death penalty thread.

Obvoiusly Canada has no death penalty, yet our cities are far safer.

It would be an interesting topic to study as to why??

Interesting Stuff

I'm surprised Hartford and Atlanta did so poorly. I wonder what the safest city in USA would be. San Jose perhaps?

I wonder how Burlington, Oakville and Waterloo would do?

It appears USA's crime rate is decreasing towards ours. I'm sure Bill Clinton and Limp Bizkit are both taking credit for this.

America's safest city

I doubt it would be San Jose. SJ used to be quite a dump from what I hear. The last time I was there I saw a string of Bail Bond places including the famous "Bad Boy Bail Bond" while I was waiting for an airport bus.
Gotta be in the midwest I would think..but then..would wants to live there?
