..gee and we wonder why the Iraquis don't appreciate the Democracy and freedom the US has brought them.

"The Board of Muslim 'Ulama' [Scholars] confirmed on Thursday that US occupation forces had arrested one of its members when they raided his house in Baghdad Wednesday-Thursday night. Shaykh 'Umar Raghib Zaydan told Reuters that US forces attacked the house of Shaykh Ahmad al-Jabburi during the night. They searched the home, and when they found nothing, they arrested al-Jabburi.

Zaydan added that al-Jabburi is a professor at the Islamic University and an imam of the mosque north of Baghdad. Zaydan added that the Americans have more than 50 members of the Board of Muslim 'Ulama' in custody.

Zaydan said that these arrests are part of a US effort to pressure the Board to change its position on the election that Washington has slated to take place in Iraq on 30 January. The Board of Muslim 'Ulama' opposes elections under occupation. Zaydan said that the Board would not be changing its stand on the elections. "

Ahh.......'the raids in the middle of the night.'

Stalin & Hitler smile approvingly from their graves as they see how Dubya, a kindred spirit in many ways, adopts of few of their well used practices from the past...........

Are you saying that you don't think GWB, with a little moustache, looks a little like old Adolf?

Bush & Benito........

Hey bot,

Pay attention! LOL!
Told you once before I no longer think Dubya is like Hitler, Bush is more like a Benito Mussolini and his 'brown shirts.'
And since you asked for it....here it comes again...

:D George W. Bush is No Adolph Hitler ......

OK have to agree with you guys on this one that George W. Bush is No Adolph Hitler

A favorite pasttime among the Bush-bashing crowd is to compare our current ethically-challenged President with the madman of all madmen -- Nazi leader Adolph Hitler.

Granted, valid comparisons exist: Bush, like Hitler, believes war is the most politically-expedient means to an end. Like Hitler, Bush has built a vast police state to spy on his countrymen (and women). Hitler called it the Gestapo. Bush calls his Homeland Security.

Both men exploited political division, polarization and fear. Both appealed to the extreme right wing. Like Hitler, Bush shows signs of cracking under the strain. A report by a prominent DC psychiastrist calls the American president a "paranoid, delusional meglomaniac." They called Hitler the same thing.

But Bush falls short in key comparisons to the German leader. Hitler served in the German Army and actually experienced real combat in WWI. Hitler also liked the excitement of fighting in a war. Hitler was given the job of despatch-runner. It was a dangerous job as it involved carrying messages from regimental headquarters to the front-line. Hitler won five medals including the prestigious Iron Cross during the First World War. His commanding officer wrote: "As a dispatch-runner, he has shown cold-blooded courage and exemplary boldness. Under conditions of great peril, when all the communication lines were cut, the untiring and fearless activity of Hitler made it possible for important messages to go through". Although much decorated in the war, Hitler only reached the rank of corporal. Although Hitler's IQ was never officially measured, doctors estimated it at around 145. Bush's IQ is a state secret. If it was ever measured, the result probably disappeared along with his military records but any close study of his actions suggests it can't be much above that of the average three-minute egg.

Hitler was a hypnotic speaker with a masterful command of the language. He could motivate huge crowds with his powerful speeches.

Bush has trouble stringing enough words together to complete a simple, declarative sentence and would have trouble talking a whore into bed even if he paid in advance.

So it's both unfair and insulting to compare George W. Bush to Adolph Hitler.

But unfair to whom?

..as usual personal attacks from the peanut gallery. Skipping the the post altogether. I really wonder, are the Americans really that stupid ? surely the followers of those leaders will boycott the elections. Again in another post I asked , what is going to happen if in this new Parliament the Sunnis have no representation ? surely it is a recipe for disaster. My question is, what it the intended result all along ?

The Box On His Back?

Not all. Just 51% of the voters. But, according to GWB he
has a mandate that justified the invasion of Iraq regardless of
WMD. Maybe GWB thinks we're as stupid as you wonder.

Oh well. This is a democracy, at least on paper.
It's moving closer and closer to fascism. Interesting,
those who fondly accept fascism criticize those that oppose
them as leftist communists. Sound familiar, like Europe in
1939. What a miserable mess.
DQ what do you think the chances are that Bush is made by Mattel?.. there are signs...permanent dooffus grin ..missing life records... anyone seen him actually take in food? could the MIC be this good?? No one with two ivy league degrees could be this moronic...could they? Someone should check that..

Does anybody remember Dick Tuck? He dogged richard nixon’s campaign trail with humorous sabotage publicity stunts. Once he gathered 50 pregnant women in chicago, all near full term, to meet nixon at o'hare airport. All the women wore big sticker badges and a few with signs, saying "Dick's The One!" It was front page news.

A trademark song became the tip off that something was about to happen. This all started on a campaign milk-run through the south, Nixon on a rail flat car speaking to the crowds at each whistle stop, Dick Tuck somehow got the train conductor to pull out ahead of schedule. As the jazz band started up their opening score 'mack the knife', the train pulled away just as Nixon began to speak. Again it made the news. Tuck recognising opportunity incorporated the tune into his stunts after that.

It was said, after a few more of these escapades, all Dick Tuck had to do was arrange for Mack the Knife to play within his earshot, and Nixon would go rattling to pieces.

lol.. different days.

Hey that shark has pretty teeth dear
and he shows 'em pearly white
Just a jackknife has Macheath dear
And he keeps it way out of site

When that shark bites with his teeth dear
Scarlet billows they begin to spread
Fancy white gloves has Macheath dear
So there’s never, never a trace of red

McLuhan - suggesting that GWB is made by Mattel is ridiculous. I agree with OTB on this one. It's insensitive, it's anti-American and it shows an unfortunate lack of contempt. Now, if you'd said that he'd been made by Fisher Price.....

'Pecker level' foolishness

LOL, well upon further reflection I guess it is only fitting and apropos this term should come from bot, a self proclaimed certified 'bottom for Bush'. Being a 'bottom for Bush' it just follows bot is just naturally inclined to view many things happening in life and the world from a rather peculiar 'Pecker level' perspective seeing that a good bottom spends most of their time in the subservient kneeling positon anyways, not that it makes him a bad guy, LOL.

For the life of me, along with many of my friends, we just find it incomprehensible that anyone could admire GWB and look up to him as some sort of moral paragon given his spoty incomplete and hidden past and what he has done to the USA to date but hey if you can look at this from the perspective of one who is quite happy being 'onthebottom' most of their life, maybe one can rationalize it somehow........I know it's a stretch!

But hey, who knows maybe when bot was still a 'little bot' he fantasized that when he grew up to be a 'big bot' he would be just like his hero......Dubya!
