Our IT dept. has been reconoitered to focus on rolling out our premium subscription sites and the completion of artwork/packaging for our new product line of DVD's, streaming content, and print/promotional collaterals to compliment the aforementioned soft consumable products.

As such, we are short-staffed and in need of additional tech support. Basic HTML/Dreamweaver knowledge required. Willing to train. Work from home part time (1 to 2 hours/day - 3 days/week)

1 month internship, after which you will be paid a flat rate for services rendered.

What he means is that after your one month internship you will be considered for employment at a predetermined weekly salary.

Rendering services is appreciated but not required.... and if you're a guy, its absolutely prohibited. :)

BTW, my editor has informed me that the Chroma key insert will be a piece of cake (notice how I refrained from using the word insertion? - inside joke only Dani would understand...).

anybody that works for free under the guise of an 'internship' is a fool

in fact i've never even heard of a non-paying internship unless it had something to do with a school assignment at a hospital or community service as a result of a sentencing from a judge

Entertainment companies do it all the time. Check Eye Weekly ads. They're always looking for interns and they don't pay either. Nice try loser. Still smarting from the "Boiler Room" comment I threw at ya, I see. *lol*

This is true. Interns at eye are not paid. They do it for the experience and references that they can put on their resume.

I would never do it... but facts are facts.

Point taken, but the site in question gets about a dozen hits a day and is hardly known outside of of this thread, so I'm not sure if it would be considered 'experience' enough to put on a resume not to be laughed out of any job interview.

To all of you who had responded, I will reply once I get back to Toronto. I've been overwhelmed with all the developments that have been going on. As such I'll be needing assistance more than ever now. My apologies for not responding sooner.

It's been hell trying to find a WiFi signal here and only recently did we discover hi-speed in the house that we rented on this trip. Exacerbating matters was the fact that I simply didn't have enough time to seek out and visit an internet cafe on top of doing all that I had to do on this particular trip.
