really i thought if you ask him like 3 times or something and he lies then the evidence is inadmissable.....goes to show you how much urban legends spread

to make matters worse ...

when in the midst of undercover sting to bust sp's or mpa's, an undercover officer can undress in front of you ... and can even touch you ...

don't be fooled ... a cop will go above and beyond the call of duty!

They are too busy

They are far too busy these days chasing terrorists to bother with MPs and SPs. If you run into any of the cops, they are just checking whether you're Osama Bin Laden. And remember, if bin Laden calls you, it's your duty to write a reviw and then call the cops.

OF COURSE (!!!!!!) an undercover cop does NOT have to tell the same people he's investigating that he's really a cop!!!! What a ludicrous idea!!! What would be the point of having a police force, if they couldn't perform investigations??!!

Furthermore, a cop is allowed to go through with the charade of being a client, although not actually to the point of having sex with the girl. A recent Ontario case said it was okay for the cop to allow the girl to touch his dong, if that was the only way to convince her that he was a "client". The girl was arrested and convicted of solicitation.

URBAN LEGEND #2.... That any girl who works in a licenced Massage Parlor can do anything she wants with clients because it's "legal". WRONG! The bawdy house provisions of the Criminal Code still apply and if the cops investigate and find the girl is performing sex acts with clients (and YES, that includes giving hand jobs), she can still be charged and convicted of being a "found in", whether the place is licenced or not.

I've read enough! Where do I apply to be an U.C. cop investigating MPs????

It kills me that prostitution is legal, but you can't run a nice establishment where clients would come to see the girls. Oh Canada!

One interesting approach by an MP in the States was that during the massage she just held her hand over my private part. She didn't touch it she just held it there and looked at me. It took me a second to figure out what she was doing. I then took her hand and placed it on my dick.
Apparently she believed the cop would talk the talk but wouldn't actually put her hand on his dick.

A recent Nova Scotia case demonstrates how police and courts treat sex workers differently than other accused. A young sex worker got in a car with an officer and asked him directly if he was a police officer. When he answered "no", she asked him to prove it by opening her pants and touching her in the pubic area, which he did. The officer`s conduct was not found to be an abuse of process, a sexual assault, or conduct attracting a charge of communication for the purposes of engaging in prostitution. The judge permitted this because the officer had engaged in the conduct for the purposes of executing a "prosecution sweep" in the city of Halifax. Considering the Charter implications of the officer`s acts, the judge found that touching the young woman in the course of posing as a client would not "offend the community`s sense of fair play ... Detection and conviction of offenders would be rare indeed if undercover operations such as that employed here were not available to combat this nuisance." The young woman`s conviction was upheld. It seems unfathomable that sexual touching of a suspect during the course of an investigation would be condoned or tolerated in any other context.

I might disagree with the law, but I agree with judge on this one. My sense of fair-play isn`t offended by the officer`s conduct - only by the law he was being paid to enforce.

I thought the girl was 14. I think it's despicable that the cop didn't get sanctioned for his actions. Surely there are other ways to make an arrest.

Even if it was illegal, what is to stop a cop from lying to someone where there are no impartial witnesses or hidden tape recorders?

Not so funny story I heard some time ago.
"John" approaches lovely young thing for a date, ("John being the UC) lovely enquires, "are you the cops?" "No I'm not" replies John. "Well if you're not the cops, show my your c*ck." Lovely young thing then gets arrested for councilling to commit an offence.
