From Rueters today:

DUBAI (Reuters) - Al Qaeda's deputy leader Ayman al-Zawahri said in a videotape broadcast Monday al Qaeda would continue to attack the United States until Washington changed its policies toward the Muslim world.

We are a nation of patience and we will continue fighting you (United States) until the last hour," Zawahri said in the excerpts of the tape aired on Arab television Al Jazeera.

"Our final advice to America, although I know they will not heed it: You must choose between two methods in dealing with Muslims. Cooperate with them with respect and based on mutual interests or deal with them as free loot, robbed land and violated sanctity," he said.

............

"As for the American elections, the two candidates are competing for Israel's favor -- that is, competing for the crime against the Muslim nation in Palestine which has lasted for 87 years to continue."

"This proves that there is no solution with America except to force it to submit to what is right through force," he said.

Bold is mine, we can only hope that last hour is close at hand! Where have they been for the last 3 years? There were reports that AQ was pissed they couldn't disrupt the elections, no not in the US but in their own back yard in Afghanistan.

Keep dreaming.
The US has indefinitely postponed "the last hour".
November's death toll of US troops is the highest yet.

The US had Al Qaeda on the ropes, then let them off again by doing EXACTLY what they wanted them to do - become involved in ANOTHER Muslim country.

Nice job.

Hey, I thought the fighters in Iraq weren’t terrorists?

No attacks in the US in 3 years, all they can do is go on AJ and threaten and perform low rent kidnappings. The day is coming....

Clearly the current liveliness in Iraq is being poorly orchestrated by George & Co., but I can't figure out why the moderate Muslim community has not been more vocal in condemning the insanely violent acts of a handful of extremists. Case in point: The aid worker, Margaret Hassan (Hassam? I'm not sure) who spent most of her adult life working to improve the lives of the Iraqi people, is captured and eventually murdered by a handful of dickless cowards.

Where's the outrage?

Who said they weren't terrorists? Many of them clearly are.

Yup - no attacks in the US in three years. So, why is the administration supposedly concerned about terrorist connections between Iraq and Al Qaeda, hmm?
;)

Of course, you just have to wait for it. Believe me, you've stirred up such a hornet's nest that more are coming. But why bother when the US interests are clearly threatened by attacks today in Iraq? And they get to kill Americans, too!

Keep that head in the sand.

The day is coming for what?

It's obvious. Because there's a very visible foe *ready to hand* whose just invaded your country.
It's not rocket science, folks.

LOL

I can understand why the lack of support for your invasion is confusing. You should probably explore the fact that it's not in a little more detail.
