This whole election run-off / rigged tie for the presidential elections in Ukraine is sure getting interesting.
On the one hand I'm mightly pleased to see that they're doing things peacefully over there. In other parts of the world the situation would have long ago disintegrated into all-out violence on the streets. But the Ukranian people are showing the world that differences can be great but peace can still rule.
On the other hand, the whole situation is ludicrous. Unless my understanding of the Ukranian electoral system is wrong, it seems that people either voted for one guy or the other. The guy with the most votes wins - it's nothing as complicated as the US system. (Or is it?)
Anyhow, my main question here is are there any Ukranians here? What are your relatives in the Ukraine saying? What are your own thoughts?
