I catch this show every now and then but I've been disappointed with them of late. The some of the latest discussion has been around what I knew was to come - calling Condi Rice a 'Tom' as in 'Uncle Tom'. Of course it continued by calling Powell the ultimate 'Tom' and pretty much any black person who supports Bush a 'Tom'.
The most intelligent response was from someone who slammed them for calling any black person who did not agree with their views a sell-out and said that when she was growing up she was called a sell-out because she wanted to study and do well in school... that she wanted to be white because she wanted to go to college. And now she looks back and was so happy she didn't listen to them.
Air America Radio really has denegrated into trash. When they first came on I was looking forward to a more balanced radio programming. But they are just as bad.. or maybe even worse than the right-wing trash they are supposed to counter. They may fire up their supporters but they are pissing off people on the other side which helped Bush backers rally voters.
