Ottawa: 19 face charges related to sex trade
Ottawa police have charged 19 people with prostitution-related charges after a three-day blitz on the sex trade in downtown Ottawa. Seven women and 12 men were charged. An additional 20 men were arrested during the prostitution sweep, but they all qualified for john school and were not charged. The blitz targeted areas in the Byward Market as well as other streets, including Wellington Street, Gladstone Avenue and Montreal Road.

I saw that Natalie Van... of CJOH is doing some moonlighting... ummm, I mean investigative reporting on the street scene in Ottawa. Apparently, we will be hearing more from her in upcoming editions of their news program. One thing I thought pretty comical was that one of the Johns must have been determined to use a SW one night recently as he was picked up twice, thus eliminating his chances at "John School". Poor bastard, now it's on to a criminal record for him.
