Hamilton closings ... and an escape from these brutal threads!

Well, it looks as if the shaky situation in the Hammer is having an effect. Someone mentioned earlier that Sahara Spa had shut its doors recently. Now it looks like Grays Road has closed up shop. I drive by on the way to and from work and it was dark all day today. They were open yesterday. It's probably not the work of LE, but it certainly could be that the potential risk is scaring some people inside the business. Does anybody know anything else about the current state of affairs? Oddly enough. the various "aromatherapy" places specifically mentioned in the recent Spec article all still seem to be going full steam ahead. Hmmm...

When did Sahara go out of business? I called there not long ago and they were open. The web site is still up though that doesn't really mean much. I can't say that Im suprised though that a few of these places would go out of business. I just don't think Hamiltonians are willing to have so many mediocre places around. If its not a good value then it won't last long I don't think. Plus, some of these newer spas don't have very discrete locations. Sahara wasn't too discrete but not the worst by far. I think the worse is the one at James N. and Burlington. That plaza can be busy and tons of people see who comes and goes from that place.

Okay ... so I'm a gun jumper!

Well, it would seem I got all excited about the apparent closing of the MP on Grays Rd. in Stoney Creek for little or no reason. Drove by today and it appears to be open again. However, an immediate phone call was directed to a voicemail system so I can't be sure. At any rate ... I'll try to hold off any alarming announcements until there is some concrete evidence to point to.

Cheers,

JB
