Ohhhh.... this is gonna be a good one!

*rubs hands together in excitement*

WTF?!? 30 minutes in and Bush is already a bloody moron talking about trying to stop/reduce abortions?

*goes back to watching while mumbling to myself* what a freakin' jerk-off.

Does any one really think a sitting president is going to lose. Bush will win.. not that I want him to but he will

The Vegetative State
I'm not sure how, but Bush has absolutely mastered the "I've just been hit in the face with a pineapple and I'm not sure what to think about it" look.

Come on DQ. I'm starting to get tired of that comment. If I had a buck for every American I know who said that since 2000 I'd be loaded. And guess what... no one moved.

I remember Eddie Vedder vowed to leave the US if Bush got elected in 2000. What happened? He got as far as Hawaii and was able to deal with his sorrows and come back according to his publicist. Good for him. Johnny Deep was supposed to bail. A few others I can remember but there were a bunch of them. I think one actually did leave to France (wait... was that Depp?)but the rest... well.... I guess they decided to stick it out.

I don't mean to come down on you but just a mini-rant in general. If you do decide to immigrate then I'll be the first to welcome!

Well. a few have before, Hoover, Ford, Carter, Bush Sr. Also a few sitting vice-presidents have not succeeded in the following election, Nixon, Humphrey, Gore... oh, wait, he actually kinda won. Bush didn't do so badly tonight, or at least he didn't look as befuddled and angry as in the first debate. I was a bit surprised that they both relied so heavily on statistics, and think they missed oportunites to give a more personal answer. Probably, both were a little over-coached.

I love you people...You can't come up with a decent arguement against anything GWB says...so you call him "stupid"..."stoned"...or just label his supporters as idiots...Most verything Kerry is talking about doing, could have been done by that guy in the White House BEFORE Bush...What was his name...Oh Yea...Bill Clinton...8 Years of NOTHING....

Bush definitely improved as the debates went on, but that's not much of an accomplishment when you look at his first debate performance.

That being said, I still think that Kerry beat him. Bush sounded good at times, but Kerry had more substance. He was much more poised, compared to Bush who was still trying to overcome some of the physical errors that he made in the first debate (ie : shouting, getting all jumpy when he goes to answer)

And did anyone else notice the HUGE lie that he told like 10 minutes in? The bin Laden one?

"I don't think I ever said I’m not worried about Osama bin Laden. I think that's one of those exaggerations."

I thought Kerry had the line of the night once again
"I'm tired of politicians who talk about family values but don't value families"

It's not true. It was on his cheek and it was Bill Clinton's.

Yeah, I noticed that too. The problem with these debates is that the candidates can't direct questions to each other, and when it came back to Kerry they had already moved on to the next topic.

Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, and George Bush were all sitting presidents who lost. And that's just the last 30 years.
