While it may be apparent domestic violence and alcohol abuse are related, there must be reasons why these two terrible things are intertwined.

The thread is about a "White Nationalist". There is a certain individual who identified himself as a "Nationalist". No wonder he thinks that there are "fine" people among the "White Nationalists." Abusing their wive sare no big deal as this POTUS has done the same thing to numerous women.

I don't regard Kanye West as a great or deep thinker, but I do understand that he is an artist. He talks like an artist - in abstract and indirect language. I don't believe he is advocating for the return of slavery. I think what he is saying is that he wants to see the racial bigotry that originally justified slavery, and the continuation of racial conflict (on all sides) following the abolition of slavery, end, such that the 13th Amendment would only be an unwanted reminder of racial attitudes that are best put in the past. I think that's what he means by "abolishing" the 13th amendment (not "repeal", as the headline stated (more poor Huffpost journalism)).
But, then again, I'm trying to understand his comments, not purposefully misunderstand them.
P.s. When West says "slavery is a choice", he's not talking about what someone who arrived on a slave boat in the year 1800 could choose, he's talking about whether people today choose to embrace the freedom they have, or choose to consider themselves to still be slaves with no control over their own destinies. Not that hard to decipher.
