Federal Liberal deficit for fiscal year 2017-18 officially announced today as $19 billion, exactly double the $9.5 billion Trudeau predicted it would be in the 2015 federal election. Apparently the budget did not balance itself. .......and may I add that we are in a period of economic expansion, what would this look like if we weren’t? Adding stimulus to an expanding economy results in 2 things, inflation and higher interest rates. Well done Trudeau & Butts!!
I am not a fan of racking up debt during good economic times. This is when the deficit and debt should be reduced so you build some room in the event of a future economic downturn.
I voted Liberal in the last Federal election because I was one of the many who thought that perhaps Trudeau would bring positive change to a government that became stale. I have to admit that I was wrong.
Poor financial management as evidenced above, goofy social engineering policies that are/were a waste of money/time, and his embarrassing escapades across the globe are enough.
Too bad that the conservatives are offering up a poor at best candidate in the name of Scheer. I would never vote NDP so I may have to see who else is running from a fringe party perspective.
Partisan politics aside - Why on earth are Canadians settling for such a sad group of representatives for our country?
