This Erdogan is a piece of work isn't he? The new Hitler. Watch the Libtards defend this.

78-year-old man sentenced to 7 years for insulting Erdoğan
A 78-year-old man received a seven-year jail sentence for insulting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on social media, independent news site Diken reported.
Insulting the president is subject to criminal charges under Turkish law with Erdoğan’s lawyers having filed more than 1,800 cases against against people, including school children and celebrities.

Ali Ergin Güran, who stood trial for insulting Erdoğan and former Chief of Staff and current Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, denied the charges, claiming someone else used his social media account for the posts in question. Güran was acquitted of insulting Akar.
The eight year sentence demanded by the prosecutor was reduced to seven years on account of the man’s age, Diken said.

If he could get away with it, trump would do the same thing. And charge him with treason as well.

Why would the "libtards" defend Erdogan? You obsess almost as much about "libtards" as you do about "Muslims".

Erdogan is the classic 3rd world nasty dictator.

Now I ask myself why you post about an incident 5,000 miles away and unconnected to Canada? But of course that's because Erdogan's a Muslim. And every time a Muslim does something wrong, you rush to tell the board. Right?

Even though what Erdogan has done here has absolutely nothing to do with Islam.

Turkey is rapidly turning into a Middle Eastern -- Central Asian despotic state.

I was thinking more along the lines of Zimbabwe or another African banana republic. And it's already there, unfortunately.

Well Erdogan's obsession Fethullah Gulen is in exile in Pennsylvania.

Thinking of which two days ago Erdogan's spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization would launch overseas operations against supporters of Fethullah Gulen

Then last night shots were fired at Gulen's house in Pennsylvania.

I had a similar thought, when I read the OP's contribution. Like Trump, Erddogan started as something of a lefty but wound up as a hardline self-serving conservative, out of frustration with not getting his way 100% of the time. Although, to be fair Turkey's a whole helluva lot harder place to be President than the US of A.. And unlike Donny, he's actually had people and plots gunning for him, not fantasies where ordinary opposition, and difference of opinion become a DeepState Resistance. But the gut instincts seem much the same for both. And although Erdogan has shown considerable intelligence over the years, at this stage in their senescence, it looks like they're both going by knee-jerking, sycophantic suck-ups and tea-leaf readings.

Like Donny's "Lock'er Up chants", what's the point of locking up a dotard? Except to make it clear Mr StrongMan will show no mercy.

That's what Libtards do here, you defend Islamic terrorist, defend Justin the Groper no matter what he does, you hate whites and hate cops. You've been told many times.

How any times do i have to explain you everything? I know you're not smart but you have to be pretty damn stupid to ask the same questions all the time.

Now keep asking yourself why an incident that happened 5000 miles has any relevance, maybe one day you'll clue in and understand what the title of the forum is, but I doubt it, as its not the first time you ask the same question. Duh

I'm sure that's EXACTLY what Zaibetter had in mind when he didn't post about it in the OP.

I'm sure that it had nothing to do with his anti Muslim obsession...... like the other 20 or 30 posts he's written about Muslims this week.

I did and as usual you made a fool out of yourself. You need someone to help you out, or stop getting drunk if that's what it is..

It already is.

But Turkey is a very important, strategic ally for the West, thats why you wont find America and the EU complain too loudly

Once upon a time, but Erdoğan has decided to turn the world not only of Mustafa Kemal Pasha (Atatürk) on it's head but also that of the Ottoman Empire.

Erdoğan seemingly sees himself an Islamic leader allied to Russia, rather than either an historical adversary of Russia or a member of NATO. Western politico-military planners are doubtless thinking about this and preparing for what will come next.

The Europeans were crazy enough to entertain allowing Turkey to join the UE.

EU cuts 70 million in pre-accession funds to Turkey

(ANSAmed) - STRASBOURG, OCTOBER 2 - The European Parliament decided on Tuesday to cancel 70 million euros in pre-accession funds earmarked for Turkey for 2018 due to a lack of improvement in rule of law in the country. The measure passed in Strasbourg with 544 votes in favor, 28 against and 74 abstentions. The resources will instead go towards funding activities connected with the central Mediterranean route used by migrants, EU commitments in Syria and more humanitarian aid. Key to the decision was the annual report on Turkey presented in April by the European Commission, which stated that ''Turkey has been significantly moving away from the European Union, in particular in the areas of the rule of law and fundamental rights and through the weakening of effective checks and balances in the political system''.

In November 2017, the European Parliament and Commission had opted to set aside 70 million euros in pre-accession funds to allocate to Turkey if the country were to make tangible improvement on rule of law according to the Commission's annual report. (ANSAmed).

You are wrong. Can't you see the threads he started criticizing the despotic actions of Rodrigo Duterte (or Tsar Vlad)?

Like him I also had to point out to you several times that this is an international forum. I'm glad you understand now.

Are the Philippines and Russia not international as well? Yet for some reason you choose not to comment on those nasty despots, only the Muslim one.

Erdogan is a nasty piece of work but calling him a jihadi terrorist is just as asinine as most of your posts. My read is he's as religious as Trump and Doug Ford. In other words they all see the religious right in their countries as their route to power far more than they actually agree with them.
