How will it get to market. Is the plan to use for domestic consumption or export?

One day after NAFTA...does it mean foreign investor confidence has been restored? I wonder how many other investments were on hold until new USMCA was signed. Looks for massive investment in Canada now. I think the only country that has an FTA with EU and USA as well as Japan WOW!!! Good times for Canada. Well done PM Trudeau!!!
This was in the works for many years. I'm sure it was timed to coincide with the NAFTA negotiations.

So sad some things are going his way which are great for Canada? How come Harpo could not get a single lousy pipeline built in 10 years?
This pipeline starts and ends in BC so there are fewer stakeholders. Harper couldn't get Keystone done since it crossed many different jurisdictions.

Cool those jets hot shot and read my previous post: Keystone was going through multiple jurisdictions and opposed by Obama.

Contrast to this project is all in BC meaning there's a lot less opposition from the get go because there are fewer stakeholders to negotiate with.

Trudeu has been PM for what 3 years now? And he has decisively pushed VERY HARD to get a line completed to tidewater.(of course there is a lot of opposition) Another pipe to the US (Keystone) Does not help as much as we are still hostage to the fucking yankees douchebags. We need to create competition for our resources as they are crooks and have proven it in the last few years. The US and China are in a trade war, it will last a while, we'd best exploit it to the max since they have shown their willingness to fuck us up the ass at the drop of a hat even though Canada has sent our young people to die to protect them.

Our goal should be simple, we MUST grow and integrate more with EU, and China MUST become a large market for our resources and we must demand more Chinese investment in net new ventures so they can access US and EU markets.

And I agree with you. I was just stating facts from the article and about Keystone. "Pushing very hard" for something still requires negotiating with all the different stakeholders. And in this case, there were far fewer stakeholders vs Keystone. With Keystone, we had to deal with multiple provincial, state and federal governments to deal with. Who knows if Justin could handle such a negotiation today.

The Trudeau Liberals will not appeal the lower court's judgment killing Trans-Mountain.

Instead they will "consult" more fully with indigenous groups, some of whom said they will never support Trans-Mountain under any circumstance.

Rachel Notley is pissed at Trudeau.

Notley is going to lose the next election, and Trudeau needs to start thinking about his. To be honest, its best Trudeau defer Trans Mountain approval past Oct 2019 at this point. The BC LNG project will absorb many of the employees from Trans Mountain
