Goodness, that's not much of an achievement after two years, is it? To only be doing better than their own rating, just after the other Party's President was resoundingly re-elected?

You're posting about a popularity that Gallup says is now at 45%. Have you forgotten that when Donny couldn't beat that awful woman at the polls, the 46.1% that was all he managed was significantly better than that?

Understandably it has declined since.

Bottom doesn't read the fine print, which is to the effect that the boost comes with Republican voters and right-leaning independents feeling more positive about "their" party now that a few months back. (Not sure why.)

It doesn't indicate any loss of Dem support. Or any significant gains in indy voters.

The one positive takeaway from this for GOP supporters is that it may lead to better GOP voter turnout in November. Or not.

Since there is no Electoral College to exploit in the coming vote, turnout will be key. It's no wonder they're pushing voter-list pruning and all the gerry-mandering they can before the Day. If you can't get a majority yourself, beat the other guy down.

I can't decide if there is going to be a "pox on the list of you" attitude or if this turnout is going to be huge.

But I think the hearings on Thursday and what Flake, Collins and Murkowski decide to do are going to shape it.

Here you go. I saved you some work.
I want to find out WHERE the people who were polled were registered. The one thing everyone should have learned from 2016 is that polls are not to be trusted and/or the distribution of support matters much more than national numbers.
