A lot of dire warnings from the usa yet the CAD is still quite strong. Deal is done, announcement after Quebec election. Dairy concessions and a new mechnism to align tariff regimes into the nafta zone.

I hope that’s not the case. I like Trudeau but withholding info from Quebec voters would be shady and would also harm Liberals in PQ in next national election.

Maybe...but if they miraculously reach an agreement the day after the PQ election it’s going to look awfully suspiciously.

Nope, it was a deal that was good for Canada and if we could work with the US deadline, then we would be happy to close this file and move on so we can ratify it within the current congressional term.

The Canadian Dollar follows oil.
It has moved in the past based on rethoric from the NAFTA negotiations, oil is one factor, based on what was said on Thurs/Friday there should have been some impact but it actually held pretty firm. That means the top dogs on wall street already know and are long.

Too funny
You have the inside scoop on the NAFTA negotiations, the exact timing of deal announcements and you are able to accurately decipher what drives the currency markets?
Lets say I am more than sceptical
