No I know what you said I was just pointing out how funny that sounds to say that someone sounded attractive on the phone. That is the same saying to blind person to find the "handle" on a baseball.

No offence to blind people that was a phrase that is very common in baseball and the Toronto Blue Jays radio guys Tom and Jerry stopped using it years ago after a blind youngster wrote them asking where the handle was on a baseball as he could not find it

In this case attractive is a visual reference not a vocal reference. If you were to say they had a pleasant voice or manner on the phone then fine but to judge appearence by sound is the same as judging character by the temperature outside on a cold sunny day.

No , you cannot judge appearance by voice alone. I remember listening to a favorite DJ on radio for years and then , when I finally got to meet this person live , I couldn't reconcile the virile strong cool image of this person that I had built up in my mind with the real wimpy unflattering looking person that really was. That terrific cool voice did not match the body at all !

bah. thats a crock. i've been able to tell a hottie from her voice. i used to work in a retail environment and i would always tell the guys so and so coming in would be a hottie. and i was always right. .. mind you. if i wasn't sure i kept my mouth shut. lol.
