You think a judge would really buy that the 'public consultation' is real after Ford publicly stated that he was cancelling cap and trade?
That defence is really stupid.

I don't like Green Peace, but this is a Doug ford Fail, not Green Peace, Doug Ford is the one who once again broke the law.

You'd make a really lousy lawyer.
You'd be defending murder by saying, 'sure, my client stole the money, but now that he's in jail and facing prison time he's announced that he's renounced theft and is willing to give the money back. So the trial should be cancelled'.

Doug Ford announced he was cancelling Cap and Trade, breaking contracts, so Greenpeace sued.

There already was a large "public consultation". It was called the Ontario Election. Ford ran on cancelling cap and trade and he won even if the left doesn't like democracy when they lose.
