Hi everyone,

Assume I'm in Toronto and I make an appt. with an agency escort.
The escort shows up at the door.

Do I have 5 minutes to make up my mind about whether or not I want the session to continue ? It takes me less than 5 mins. to know if I'll get along with someone.

If I decide to turn her away then I've heard that I should give her a tip for the driver......fair enough, I can live with that. How much money should I give her ?

Thanks,
Cloud
p.s. Just out of curiousity I'd like to hear how these rules are different for different parts of North America, if anyone's interested in sharing that info then go right ahead.

Depends on the circumstances. If you specified a particular lady and that wasn't who showed up, then, you can turn her away with no guilt. If you specified a type of woman--say a short, petite, brunette, and a tall chunky blond shows up, same thing. On the other hand, if the woman is somewhat close to what you specified, then I'd say you do have some kind of obligation to carry on. Another parameter would be personality. No matter how close she comes to your physical specifications, if she came across as a jerk, then you should also be able to dismiss her with no financial obligation on your part. This part is a little more subjective, though, and you have to give her the benefit of the doubt. Basically, I'd say you have to pay the whole thing unless things are very wrong.

My policy has always been two fold. If the lady who shows up is not at all like who you asked for, is unforgiveably late, or is unacceptably rude - then the encounter is verging on being a rip-off and you owe nothing. If the reason for your refusal to carry on is as a result of say, your discussing your rather special expectations with her and her saying that she just doesn't do business that way, but she was courteous and professional about it, then I feel that I owe her something for her time and honesty and professionalism. Say twenty bucks at a bare minimum at an incall and perhaps more for an outcall if you think her out of pocket for the cab or driver was more than twenty.

Time trials of SP's

I pretty much agree with Dr. Wanker on this. I am not certain what the originator of this thread had in mind when he asked how much time he has to decide whether he wants the girl to stay with him. Can we really order up a half dozen girls, and dispatch them so easily because we think we might prefer someone else? Can we order a girl on trial for 5 or 15 minutes then send her packing? I don't agree with this at all.

When we order a girl from the "take-out menu" I feel it is a lot like ordering a meal in a restaurant. As decribed on the menu the dish sounds delicious, just thinking of it makes your mouth water, BUT when it arrives, the taste is not what you had hoped for at all. The kitchen staff did their part and prepared the dish as it should be, but unfortunately it did not match your conception of what was to come. Regardless, we still finish the meal, disappointed and vowing never to try that dish again. We don't send it back and/or walk out of the place because our conception differed from that of the chef.

Nor is this like trying on shoes in a shoe store, the clerk bringing out many pairs only to have you say "No I don't think so maybe I'll come back another day".

Should it not be the same when ordering SP's for "take-out" from a written or verbal description? If there has been no deception by the agency or the SP (if she is working independantly), then I feel obligated to fulfill my end of the contract - and I do see this as a contract between me and the girl.

I think we must also consider the girl feelings here. She has, hopefully, spent time getting ready to take the call and has committed to some transportation expense as well. Think too how she must feel should you open the door and reject her on the spot or even after being on trial for only five minutes.

I estimate that I've had more than 600 visits over the years and I have sent back very few ladies and every one of these were sent away either because of mis-representation by the agency, usually because someone other than who I had asked to see was sent to me or because of it being that time of the month.

Not all sessions are going to be great. Again, the question of perception arises. Perhaps yours and the girls conception of the service to be provided differ, just as at the restaurant, yours and the chefs may have differed.

The bottom line as I see it: Once you've ordered it, you've got to eat it - pun intended.

very thought provoking, cookie...

i enjoyed your analogy...i have worked in the to nightclub/trendy restaurant/lounge scene for a long time, and have been on both ends of the " execution not meeting expectations" equation. some deal with it as you've described, taking responsibility for their choice. at other times, the kitchens/wait staff have been at fault, and the establishment takes responsibility. and, of course, there are the exceptions, where the management places the responsibility solely on the diner/customer, or the customer returns something not because of poor execution but because "i thought i'd like it, but i don't" and have expected the mgmt to remove the item from the final bill. as a consumer, the key to minimizing the gap between expectation and execution is research...ask the questions ahead of time, and have them answered by the person best able to provide detail...don't ask the hostess about menu items, ask the waiter to ask the kitchen. if you are dealing with an agency, take the time to ask questions of the manager or accountable person, not necesarily the person answering the phone...it may take longer, but you'll have a better sense of what to expect.

Teddy bear;

You said it far better than I. What you said is what I was trying to say but didn't.

Let's clarify a few things here.................

Here's what I was thinking:
I have a very strong accent and not everyone understands what I'm saying to them. Some people understand me, others don't.
All I want is 2-5 minutes to see how well I can talk to the escort because I like talking to escorts. Believe me, I've talked to enough people to know when conversation isn't going to happen. I've gotten reactions from condescending behaviour to downright ignorance (they smile and walk away, thinking that they're being polite).

What if you're allergic to it ?
Seriously, if you've been to a restaurant with someone who has a food allergy (or a picky vegetarian) then you'd realize that when the food comes to the table they won't eat it.
With people, I CAN TELL if they get what I'm saying to them.
If they don't, then I'd like the chance to turn them away.
Like I said, I need less than 5 minutes.

There are some things that can't be settled ahead of time.

Take care,
Cloud
