Something has been brought to my attention and I thought without giving out any details due to any big brother types that monitor this board I would simply ask a few questions to the men of Ottawa.

1) Are there any known heat score hotels/motels - in a 20 minute radious of Carleton University, that either the cops watch, or the owners call the police if they suspect anything going on?

2) What nice and CLEAN motel, preferrably not more the $80 a night would you recommend in the same radious?

I think most hotels are discreet ..

The close hotels to Carleton will probably be on Carling? They include -

Embassy West Hotel & Conference Centre
1400 Carling Avenue ¡¦Ottawa, ON

Best Western Macies Hotel
1274 Carling Ave ¡¦Ottawa, Ontario

Travelodge Hotel Ottawa West
1376, av. Carling Ave. ¡¦Ottawa, ON

Motels are more harder to come by - the closests on Carling is probably -

Webb's Motel
1705, av Carling Ave. ¡¦Ottawa, ON

On the South End there is

Southway Inn
2431, rue Bank Street ¡¦Ottawa, ON

Prices varies .. unless you get away from down town and into the East end, then maybe the rates will drop to the $80 range.

There is a new Days Inn on Hunt Club, considered Airport area, no more than 20 minutes from Carleton U. via the Airport Parkway

I would recommend any of the smaller hotels downtown. Ask them if they have a business rate. A lot of hotels will give you a discount if they have the vacancy.

I would think you'd want something more towards downtown otherwise many of your clients will find it inconvenient to get to you. The Days Inn and Southway are at the extreme south of the city - a bit of a pain for anyone coming from downtown or Hull.
