In fairness to Beck's there all the players after him were paying special attention to the turf when placing the ball. Seems like there was a problem with the field there. His only fault was being first IMHO.Originally posted by danmand And how could he miss the penalty???
Being the quarterfinal, there should be no surprise for a favourite to drop out at this stage. Therefore I wouldn't put England in the same group as the other three who definately disappointed.The_Ladies_Man said:Spain, Italy, Germany, and now England - hard to describe what's going on but who's next.
Well, he must have learned that in Penalty 101. It never ceases to amaze me that top notch professional players can miss the goal on a penalty, as today 2 out of 14 did. That is such a fundamental skill that every single professional player should possess.n_v said:In fairness to Beck's there all the players after him were paying special attention to the turf when placing the ball.
