Yeah, that'll solve all the Rangers' problems! LOL
Maybe they should start trying to succeed AT THE DRAFT. And get some, oh I don't know ... DEFENSE AND GOALTENDING. Instead of trying to sign FA's to fill every hole.
Hey, at least the Leafs make the playoffs every year .....

LOL

The Rangers will take anybody! The more expensive the better!

This whole discussion regarding Hasek may not even matter, since the players are all golfing next year.

Well this will be interesting seeing Hasek in a Sens uniform if that is the case. I wonder if Hasek is still the Dominator to me he may not be what he once was. Good luck Ottawa!

The Rangers need all the luck they can get too. One day they will be back in the playoffs hehe

Hard to say.
Maybe they can celebrity-box it out to decide.

If necessary send Pens owner Mario Lemieux msg stock for Brooks Orpik (love him) And his teammate also at Boston College Rob Scuderi.

5
6) Pry away Craig (what's his last name. He built Pittsburgh though and he's in the hall) to rebuild the team. He also developed the defensive strategy in the miracle on ice team. [/B][/QUOTE]

Orpik is an untouchable in Pittsburgh right now. They need to build their defence around him.

Craig Patrick would be his name. One of the greatest GM's in hockey. I'm still scratching my head over some of his cost dumping moves but still have faith in him.

Montoya would fit nicely with the Rangers ... but they already have Blackburn, Labarbera and Henrik Lundqvist in Sweden.

Defensively, Poti was dreadful last year. Good puck carrier and skater but ... does he have any clue of what he is doing in his own end? Chance exists that he will be traded. Tyutin looks like a keeper.

Nobody, on either forward or defense, seems to know what they're doing when they play for the Rangers.
I don't think their goaltending has been all that good, either, but it's not the root of the problem.

I think Montoya may go the the Kings. I could see the Kings taking a goalie.

I hope Pittsburgh doesn't move but if they do.....how about another team in Toronto?

Think about it! No one could afford to watch the Leafs anymore so we can house the new team in like...Scarborough and people who can't afford to watch the Leafs will have an alternative!

In all seriousness, Toronto IS big enough to house another team but the Leafs will still get all of the support and fans.

Hasek has gone to the Sens, and Lalime has gone to the Blues.

This is what you call a win-win scenario - both teams still have crappy goaltending.

:)

So how does that work?

Lalime will be underachieving for St Louis while Osgood learns how to knit? and....
Hasek can limp into Ottawa.

All of this assuming they play next year? - How is this better?

I think Muckler's time may very well be coming to a rapid close.
Very few of the signings last year worked out that well. Of the two biggest ones, Bondra badly underachieved and Devries was close to being a disaster.
Rob Ray???
How about the *failure* to sign a goaltender when there were *plenty* of people raising flags around Lalime.
Now this - Hasek - replacing the goaltender who, in hindsight, should have been replaced several months ago.
Does anyone who watched Hasek aggravate the goaltending fiasco that was the Red Wings last year think that he'd be a positive influence on your on- or off-ice situation?

Not that all of this, as a Leafs fan, really disturbs me.
;)
