I know the season just ended a few hours ago but ...

All pending the new collective bargaining agreement. Drat ... can't edit polls ... stuck on only picking one player.

Goober, you voted for Kidd didn't you. You just don't want him ending up as the number 1 goalie in Ottawa next year.

Of those, I think only Klee should be high up the list.

Word is that neither Nieuwendyk nor Roberts will re-sign with the Leafs. They want to win a cup and don't think T.O. has what it takes. They want to play together, so whomever signs them, its a package deal.

Kathleen: If there is no lock out I think that they should keep Eddie, he was by far the best goalie in the league.

But if they strike then Eddie will age more and I say move on.

I find it hard to believe that there's going to be a team willing to take on both these old guys what with their injury problems this year.

I've heard this story, too, but I doubt it's veracity.

If they're leaning more towards some of their youth in the likes of Colaiacovo and Pilar then I think a veteran like Klee would be useful in bringing them along...

The market will be flooded with free agents after a lock out.
No need for a team to rush. But....

to ensure some sucess the Leafs should lock Belfour in and if they feel he's too old, look for a younger goalie who could step in. But, keep Belfour either as a starter or a backup - lock him in long term though.

I hate to say it though, everybody else is expendable - considering the influx of talent after a lockout year.

Lock a 40-year old goalie in long-term? Why? That's gonna cost some dough - way too much if he's just going to be the backup.

They should resign Klee hes defintely done his job on defense. If there is no lockout then Eddie should be signed to 1 or maybe two year deal. I like Gary too and Joe but if they want to play for a team they think will most likely win the cup next then there is not much you can do. July 1 will be an interesting day!
