Should they be going 'big' or 'small' with the 8th pick? Lots of wee sized guards like ...

Sebastien Telfair (H.S.)
Jameer Nelson (St. Joseph's)
maybe even Ben Gordon (Connecticut)

Devin Harris (Wisconsin) is another option.

Maybe we should have traded this years pick for some established help on the inside. The draft looks a little slim this year - after the first 3 or so picks it gets a little skinny.

Maybe the NBA should enforce the same rule as the NFL for draft eligibility. A lot of these players require years of investment before they even pay off, if at all. A couple of years in college might not hurt these guys' games.

Theres the odd player who can make an immediate impact, last year was good for that with LeBron and Carmelo. But, even players like McGrady, Kobe and such; it took a couple of years to develop them. But maybe its just me.

"Wee guards are too injury prone, Raptors could use some interior defense."

The Raptors need to score. Many games they held opponents to low points. Unfortunatley they held themselves to even less.

They have cap problems. I would like to see them treade Moe Pete to move up in the draft and or aquire a scorer. He is to streaky.

Chris Bosh was a nice pick but Dwane Wade was available and would have proven more valuble.

My wish for the draft would be Okafor and I would trade to get him.

The Raps need a decent point guard and there's none the raps can trade for since the raps have nothing that other teams want....well maybe Bosh (that would be stupid)

...so might as well draft one...Devin Harris and Ben Gordon are both juniors....so they had 3 years of college...both are around 6-3 or 6-2 which is alright for a point guard.....but both are shoot first guards (tweeners) vs pure point guard that can make shoots

There's a high school dude that's 6-7 point guard with potential....but the raps need experience

Sebastien Telfair is highly overrated....the latest scouting report had him in the mid to late first round....5-11 point that can't shoot, won't be able to defend in the NBA either....lucky he got a shoe deal b/c he's from NYC and has street cred

Okafor has back problems....even orlando are super worried he might have chronic back problems

I heard there was a decent 7-1 european player (not pozokine -sp)....he can defend but is rail thin

When I think of "Telfair" ... I think of Rafer Alston ... flair with the ball, lacking a consistent shot, and small on d.

The 6'7" guy, Shaun Livingston (and Gordon) likely would be gone before RAPS pick. Heard they were looking @ J.R. Smith (athletic, 6'5") and Andre Iguodala (athletic, 6'7") ... hope not, another small forward.

I wonder if they would take a flyer on 7'4" Podkolzine or 7'2" Andriuskevicius.

Anyone think Chris Duhon will get drafted?

I think the Raps should take a chance with Duhon with their second round pick....it's not like the Raps ever had any success with late round picks

7'4" Podkolzine was garbage... I hear...a big stiff euro
