I know it may come across as horribly naive. I'm sure its wishful thinking. I just want to know that now that we voted out those responsible for this law whats the earliest we can expect the possibility being able to pay for sexual services wtihout fear of being arrested? I just want to know. I'm aching to start "hobbying" again but I'm too afraid of the consequences. I hope theres a possiblity this can be repealed within my lifetime. I know I'm probably gonna have my hopes dashed but I just want this information comfirmed by people who are more knowledgable about how law and politics in Canada work.
So ...best case scenario... when could we expect to see C36 repealed?

Within your lifetime? Lol I'd say that's a sure thing unless ur 90. It takes time. It won't be immediate. Even if they decide to have it reviewed, it's a process with many steps.
That said, go hobby already! Not a single thing is different in enforcement beyond added trafficking busts in Toronto. Not one arrest. Not one sting. Nothing. Between reliable agencies, established indy's, existing sc's & mp's.... we're all good.

I guess you didn't read the latest thread: York Region did 2 day undercover bust in a Hotel. Posing as Underage prostitute on Backpage. Cops also said although this was to target clients willing to see underage girls they will not stop at that in the future. I am staying out of York region & also away from Escorts in Hotels.

I am talking about the part in the news release were York region police said they will not stop at just under age and that " johns " are put on notice they will be targeted even seeing of age women
