I dont think he'll get a suspension in the playoffs, even though he probably should. Less than 10 seconds left in the game and your team is down by 2 goals... what should you do? Steamroll the goalie of course... thats a great way to display sportsmanship, eh?
At least CuJo laughed about it after the game.... we'll see if Iginla and/or Kiprisoff is laughing after Hatcher takes the first available shot at whichever one of the two he lines up on saturday.

I think too much is being made of the cheap shot. It certainly was a bush league play, but I doubt the league is going to do anything extra about it - maybe a fine, but no suspension.
I doubt the Red Wings will do anything about it either - they know what it takes to win, and exacting revenge for a cheap shot isn't the way to do it.

Too bad for the Flames to lose this one. That play by Nieminen running into the goalie was cheap but after they tie it with 2 quick goals in the second I thought the Wings were toast. Good on the Wings to capitalize on the mental error by the Flames to score the game winner. I see the Flames rebounding on Saturday with a much better effort. Is it just me or is Kiprusoff not doing too great in the playoffs (not bad, just not great). I mean in the regular season he was stellar but not in the playoffs. Four games now with 4 or more goals, not like him.

When the Wings are focused they can score 4 goals on any given night. It's just a matter of whether they want it bad enough on that particular day.
I have to disagree with you though, I dont see the Flames winning another game at the Joe. IF the Flames win another game it will be game 6 in Calgary.

I think the Red Wings play in a league with the rest of the teams in the NHL, and thus are not the sole dictators of whether they win or lose. Perhaps the other team has something to say about it, hmm?
I can see Calgary winning one or even two more games in this series, at home or on the road. I think Detroit will win, but very narrowly.

If the Red Wings swept the Predators in the first round I think Calgary would be out in 5 games. Wings had their trouble against Nashville and I think Calgary will come back strong in game 5 with an upset at JLA. Wings will be done in 7!
I hope and pray that the Wings and the Leafs meet in the Stanley Cup Finals...
