I think I won't. Take it to the bank, that is.
You have fun, though.

Nolan might rejoin the team in 1.5 weeks - that'll be around game 4 or 5 of the series. Mats might take a little longer though. Eddie's looking good these days. The rest of the Leafs should be adequately rested and healed. Should be a good series coming up.

Leafs in 6.

I think the Leaf/Flyer series will prove to be a physical and tough one. It will come down to Belfour providing more of the same stellar goaltending. The Leaf defence will have a more difficult task of keeping traffic to a minimum in front of the net. Another big factor will be key players making it back into the lineup (Sundin, Nolen). Still like the Leafs in seven.

It would certainly be great to have the Habs make it past the Lighting. A Leaf/Canadian Conference final would be a dream come true.

The Leafs will need their big guys on D to play big in this one - unlike in the Sens series, where the only real tough guy to move was a D - Chara.
Klee, McCabe and Marchment should be up to the task.
I made this point in another thread, but it bears repeating - any chance Belak could play? Instead of, say, Kaberle? ;)

I say the Leafs will win in 6. Philadelphia is hurting on the blueline, no Eric Desjardines, and now powerplay speacialist Kim Johnsson has a broken hand and will play with a cast on. I think the Flyers are over confident since beating the devils 4 games to 1. I also believe the Flyers are over estimating there goaltending. Roberst Esche allowed 9 goals to New Jerseys pop gun offense in 5 games. in comparrison to Ed Belfour's 11 goals in 7 games. New jersey has away of making every goalie look like a Vezina Trophy candidate. Then there are the intangables......Philadelphia has Bobby Clarke as the G.M. and we don't............I have no idea how this guy still has a job, I put him in the same catagory as Mike Milbury.

Belak? Give your head a shake ranger, you're posting so much that you are starting to type words without even reading them.

You must be some kinda closet Philly fan with a suggestion like that.

Some very good statements here, if the Leafs are not too banged up, they should be OK, specially if Matts returens and Nolan next week.

Remember Ottawa was the top offence in the league, and the Eagle shut that down.

If I see a flaw for T.O. it will be Philly being more rested, and I'am sure that they will attack Toronto's D, try and bang the hell out of Leetch. But his experience should prevail.

No prediction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why not? How well did Kaberle play in that series? How well is he going to be able to contain those big Philly forwards?

Seems to me the Leafs may need all the big defensemen they can get. Look at teams like the Flyers, the Stars of a few years ago, the Bruins - lots of big, bruising defensemen.

Give your head a shake and concoct a cogent reply, please. Or not.

My thoughts, I agree with two here very much..

First Ranger68 . Bench Kaberle! As dumb as Aki Berg is, he is big. Get in Berehowsky at least, or better Belak. I like Wade better, because he can handle the big Flyer forewards better, and also silence Brashear.

Next is slademan - I couldn't have said it better about the Flyer defence. Big holes back there, I think Toronto will open a couple games up.

Toronto is deeper then NJ, and Esche will soon find this out. They can roll three good scoring lines, and against these slower giants, it will show. Toronto will have a rest against Philly after the speedy Sens.

Just alot of talk.Flyers can score far more than you think.Just have to get into Belfours head.

Leafs-Philly

Quinn is loyal and will go with who got him to the dance. That means Kaberle is in! The need for a big slug d-man has been there for years and neither Quinn nor JFJ have addressed it and it may well come back to bite them again.
It was a huge mistake not to do something at the trade deadline. Kaberle was MIA last season and will be a target from the drop of the puck along with Leetch.
Without Sundin and Nolan this series takes on a different complexion. Flyers are stronger/deeper up. Much more aggressive than Ottawa. Toronto forwards will need to be as committed defensively as in game 7 to take some pressure off their D. Hold up the Philly forecheck without sitting in the box.
Leafs may have the edge on D due to Desjardins and Johnnson injuries? Certainly the Leafs have the advantage in goal unless Belfour's back gives out. No doubt Philly will apply much more pressure and try to interfere and crowd him at every turn. Esche is young, but I don't think Leafs get any free ones like game 7 v Ottawa.
Toronto will only if Sundin and/or Nolan are able to contribute.

Klee can fill that role just fine - I think that McCabe, Marchment and Klee will have their hands full, but will get by.
I believe Quinn is unlikely to sit Kaberle, too, but just threw out that possibility for discussion. Frankly, I'm not sure it would be such a bad move.
I like Esche - then again, I liked Lalime - but think that, like Lalime, he may be prone to a bad game. I like Burke as a backup or a starter.
If Sundin can't play, it'll be a really tough go, again, although the Leaf offense should get on track.
The Flyers aren't nearly as fast as the Sens (who is?!), and this will put several Leaf forwards back in the game - Francis, Antropov.

I absolutely hate those 2 guys. I'll always cheer against any team they're assocated with. (Not that they give a shit.) The other 2 teams that I always root against are Habs and Bruins.
