While we're at it - the best predictor of post-season success is regular season success.
And, since the Leafs had the best regular season record among Canadian teams, they're the team to pin your hopes on - *IF* you're a fan of Canadian teams (which, of course, none of these Sens fans are).
Go Leafs!
:)

Pointless post except just to raz, which is cool. But as we all know the 3 times the Leafs beat the Sens in the playoffs was when the Sens dominated the Leafs in the regular season. This regular season the opposite is true. With that logic, if the Leafs and Sens are to meet, expect a Leafs playoff loss.

I just *had* to look at your post, so ......
Hmmm - I don't recall seeing such a reaction to *Pansy's* post, with almost exactly the same title.
I guess it's okay, in your mind, for you and your fellow Sens fans to post trash, but not for us Leafs fans.
Hey, dude - this is a Toronto board.
Get over it.
:)
Oh, and there's no logic to your statement about regular season success vs. playoff season success. If I need to explain that one to you .... well, obviously I do. Not surprising.

I'm a Leafs fan but there is a very real possibility depending on the circumstances of today's games that the Buds could face the Habs in the 1st round. It pains me to say it, but the Habs scare me and I think they'll beat the Leafs if they face them in Round 1. With their goaltending, the Habs might be this years Mighty Ducks, but at the very least, could beat anyone in the early rounds.

I really appreciate classy Leaf fans......but it looks like you won't have to worry about the Habs.......the Bruins are up 3-0 on the Devils.......too bad.....even though my Habs have played very poorly recently and Theodore looks shaky (even last night against the Sabres).....a Leaf-Habs series would be amazing hockey.....also rough but clean.....too bad.....maybe the Devils can create a miracle....we'll know later.

Looks like what I said earlier totally flew over your head. My point was that there is no bearing of the regular season on the playoffs.

You are right on that. Point taken. But that could also be a bad thing for Toronto. We'll see if it is or not.

Of COURSE there is, weren't you paying attention?! The best predictor of playoff success is regular season success, and you can look it up.

Clear enough?

Sheesh.

Yes Toronto does have be best record in Canada. To date...
TORONTO has 103 points,
OTTAWA has 102 points, and
VANCOUVER with 101 points.
TO was a point head of Ottawa and a wopping 2 points ahead of Vancouver. Big deal.

There are 9 teams with 100 points or more and Colorado finished with 99 points. These playoffs should be some of the best we have seen in years. --- Kev

No problem, Kev. But to dismiss any of these teams with a hundred points or more out of hand is just silly - like, Ottawa's a Cup team, and the Leafs aren't. Please.
And, again, TO's the (pay attention now) FRONT-RUNNER among these teams.
Period.

I'm wasn't dismissing the Leafs they have a dam good club. Pity they'll lose in the first round to Ottawa.:) --- Kev
