Why would bylaws harass customers? They have no jurisdiction or authority over client, never have. And if they have and customers were in there, did they leave them alone like usual or harass them?
Please share your stories if you have any.
I've been caught up in a By-law inspection and it was after 10 on a Saturday night.Read in some of the other threads that LE and Bylaw inspect together sometimes. Anyone know for spas closing at 9pm , what days and times are the least likely for inspections to happen.
For instance, I would think for the food industry the inspections would happen during the weekdays during the daytime hours, not on weekend nights.
Was this pre or post C 36?I've been caught up in a By-law inspection and it was after 10 on a Saturday night.
This happened to me last week. I was in the room still showering and they walked in prior to even starting my session. They did the usual license check and left after about 15 minutes. No LE with them so I wasn't concerned. Was this pre or post C 36?
Walked into the room while you were showering? This happened to me last week. I was in the room still showering and they walked in prior to even starting my session. They did the usual license check and left after about 15 minutes. No LE with them so I wasn't concerned.
Yup, in the shower and the door popped open and to my shock it was a dude who once he seen me in the shower quickly closed the door. At first I thought it was just a customer who had accidentally walked in. I stepped out and waiting on the table I was getting a bit annoyed because it was taking longer than usual for the attendant to walk in but once she walked in she explained to me it was only bi law checking licenses and they had left.Walked into the room while you were showering?
Attendants aren't allowed to be nude in the rooms in Toronto. There's also an assortment of bylaws that include much more than just ensuring the bodyrub attendants are licensed. If they are bylaw, and he is checking the licence whats he doing walking into the rooms and showers???
Same as you, your job ( I assume you have one )If they are bylaw, and he is checking the licence whats he doing walking into the rooms and showers???
You know what happens when you assume....Same as you, your job ( I assume you have one )

No prob...just pullin your legLOL I always assume, almost always right too
Like I said, they are just doing their job and one part of that job is to ensure proper dress code, so she may be riding you and by-law will issue a ticket for improper dress. Hope they let you FINISH your session before filing out the ticket.
They have absolutely nothing to do with c36
If you were to pull something, I could only hope it wasn't my leg and you are of the female persuasion. No prob...just pullin your leg
When it comes to bylaw inspections in Toronto, it appears that police are regularly part of the inspection with municipal bylaw enforcement. They could take note of anything. It's very unlikely but theoretically they do have the power to subpoena customers to secure bylaw convictions against spas. This is due to the fact that the licensing tribunals are usually empowered under the Statutory Powers Procedure Act which provides such power.Would bylaw or Police on these inspections make note of the unusually high amount of used tissues they see?
