With this new law, what happens to the strip clubs specially famous ones in popular cities like Montreal, Toronto or Niagra Falls? So from now on if a girl for example in BrassRail sits on a tourist's lap would be illegal?! Good stuff ! In a country with sub zero temperature for half of the year if you can not have fun once in a while with your friends in a club I would say either we all need to move to other countries or make this government people to move somewhere else. I'm already out of the country!

Please let us know if anybody visited the clubs and saw any changes to their rules.

A lap dance, per the Technical Paper on this legislation, is a sexual service. You, the customer, could get charged for paying for it (not if a dancer merely sits on your lap). The dancer can sell and is immune from prosecution. Strip clubs aren't selling sexual services. Don't think they have to make any changes, except perhaps monitor VIPs as they have always done.

Just to remind us: That Technical Paper is not the law; it is not a judge's ruling which requires other judges to rule likewise. Clearly it raises a dangerous possibility for SC patrons, but it's highly unlikely phalanxes of police are about to raid and arrest whole rows of patrons anytime soon. Not with the prospect of having to prove in open court that all these fully clothed guys were having criminal sex, and exploiting the dancers to do so.

I was at Whiskey and Pro on Saturday...everything was business as usual at those two clubs.

I don't get it. So you pay the dancer for an air dance, then she starts grinding on you...you're at fault? What are you supposed to do, cry rape?

That specific part of the law is unenforceable.
