Absolutely silly thread, but maybe if we say Yes, the Bible-thumping Cons might reverse the legislation?
I don;t know about that, but I'll bet the best way to speed up the demise of C36 in courts is to find a means of getting the LGBT community in to the fight. It won't move the government but it will pressure judges.
Arguments which would be met with a roll of the eyes if made by straight people would have to be delt with respectfully if made by gay activists out of political correctness, fear of homophobia accusations and the guilt syndrome over past discrimination.
For example the contention that openly "out" Gay & Trans youth who are destitute due to entrenched discrimination in employment & housing are further disadvantaged and even endangered by not being able to sell or barter their sexual services due to their patrons' fear of criminal conviction.
And because of the slow and somewhat discouraging process which Trans people need to go through to get their transformation surgeries paid for, escorting is an essential means for some to obtain funds for getting some cosmetic surgeries privately - because not being able to
"get their boobs" in a timely manner could cause Trans people emotional hardships and low self esteem.
And furthermore it is fundamentally inappropriate& discriminatory for a state that is dominated by a straight perspective to dictate to the LGBT community the terms and circumstances in which they can use THEIR bodies and sexuality
(and since all people must be treated the equally under the law, that means the law cannot dictate to anyone else either...)
