Will not C36 bring more girls into the profession?

Does it not make prostitution legal from the sellers point of view?

What crime will they commit (if any)?

They can they openly solicit? (along as it is not near a school or other sensitive areas) can they not??

I believe they can advertise only their own services but the forum that advertises it (such as the Sun) can be charged.

If Harper's Taliban cops raid a MP what crime have the MPAs committed ???? Are they not off Scott free and only the Johns have committed a crime? Will not the owners of the MP be in trouble as they are living of the avails ??

It seems to me the only legal happy ending spa is one where only one girl works there and she is the owner but it will still be illegal for the Johns to get a happy ending so they work out of their own house but this takes them away from the safety of the MP which destroys the so called intent of C36

I think there will be no contact allowed in strip clubs ( no lap dances) but if their is a lap dance did happen the dancer did not commit a crime just the patron?

It seems to me the stripper can offer any service she wants but the club will be in trouble so the club will stop any soliciting.

If C36 does mean more girls come into the profession (because they commit no crime) and Johns are scared away will not the prices drop dramatically?? (supply and demand)

They will not be prosecuted but they will be harassed by cops , questioned and forced to appear in courts as witness of a crime ( Purchase of sex)
Never thought of that

They will have to admit I paid them for a HE or risk purjury

Good point

But even if they say I did they have no proof

I'm not sure about that. Isn't the whole design of C36 supposed to take the actual sex worker entirely out of the legal proces - not out of any social-minded compassion but specifically to take away any appeal route where a sex worker could once again argue that she is being harassed or put in danger by the Crown's enforcement of anti-prostitution laws.

The only way to ensure this particular point will never again be made in court is to never have a sex worker in the position of defendant in any matter related to C36 enforcement. Only by limiting prosecution entirely to Customers for the NEW offense of purchasing can the Crown avoid anything to do with the arguments which killed the old law.

It only takes them out of the legal process as far as being charged for any offenses in relation to C36. They would have to appear as a witness to the crown when subpoenaed by the crown.

As far as an MP goes, have bawdy house charges been dropped from the books or will C36 give it a boost and that charge can now be laid in conjunction to the charges to the consumer under C36?
