Thats reassuring lol.

I do wonder though, if you win the jackpot or other amount and it is not taxable as OLG says, you would still need to declare it when filing income taxes as 'other income' right ?

No you don't, but you do have to declare interest paid on your winnings.
Also if you owe the govt any money, they may collect it from your winnings.
