Is Ottawa under rated?

I have seen a lot of posts commenting how bad this city (I may have submited 1 or 2 myself).
Now, I have lived in this city for a couple of years now and I can say that when I first moved here I thought that this city sucked.
Bars seemed to be dead. You couldn't get a decent massage, and SPs were nothing special. There wasn't much else to do for fun. You had to cough up your first born to be allowed to Smoke. And I had to suffer through Sen's hockey.
However, lately I have felt my views changing.
Although, I still have to suffer Sen's hockey and MPs are still something to stay away from (travel is recommened) there are positives.
The no smoking policy allowed me to quit (it was actually one of the easiest things I have ever done). SPs seem to have improved and it seems like more and more are visiting us from out of town which is a definate plus..
Bars have definately gotten better ( I think I am spending more time in the VIP than at the bar).
We have IMHO some of the best trails for rollarblading and in the winter we get to skate on the Canal.
Quebec is only across the river so we get the casino, restaurants where you can bring in your own wine, much cheeper beer (wow), and cheeper gas (sometimes).
If you want to road trip then Montreal is only 1-2 Hour drive away.
And we also have BOB (now that makes it all worth it right there)
It's like everything is just around the corner from us.
I know Ottawa isn't the garden of Eden but we do have a good view of it.
Just wanted to share that thought
Thanks

I have never been to either Vancouver or Calgary so I can't comment on that.
I would like to vist them at some point though.
Although my French kissing (I try to practice as much as possible) is good, the rest of my vocabulary is in need of some serious work.
Any teachers out there? Women only please (I don't swing the other way).

Ottawa is getting better, it would just be nice to call an agency and know you won't be disappointed. The best times I have had in Ottawa have been with dancers both in and out of the club.

Ottawa's not bad - it's sexy industry sucks!

Ottawa, as a city overall, is great!

Some of the nicest parks in the country, museums, National Arts Centre, Sparks Street Mall, Parliment Hill, restuarants, the Parkway, the list goes on. Two universities, colleges, Renegades, Senators, 67's. Brand new airport terminal.

Once they finally finished the 416 from 401 to Ottawa, the travel by car is pretty good. You can go from Kanata to Orleans in less than 30 minutes (try going from Scarborough to York in 30 minutes unless you're on the 407).

The only place where Ottawa sucks is it's adult entertainment industry. It seems to be nationally known as one of the worst city's for streetwalkers (although what I've heard about Vancouver makes it the worst - hands down.)

The MP business has been pathetic for at least the last 20 years. I once asked why, with all the money etc in Ottawa, is the business so crappy, and Sheik responded that the majority of the business in Ottawa is controlled by bikers.

I have long suspected that there are probably a couple of really high-class places in Ottawa that cater to the politicos and diplomats. These are places where the typical massage probably starts at $300 for an hour - before the extras. Definitely not the type of place that the average hobbiest is looking for.

Even the Strip Clubs are kind of poor. Once upon a time you could find a pretty strong club scene on the Quebec side of the river. Not sure what's happening there now.

As I understand the SP business, there are only about half a dozen good incall/outcall SP's located full-time in Ottawa/Hull. Again I suspect that there are probably some high-end agencies that service the politicos/diplomats, and are kept very quiet.

Yeah, on a Sunday morning going 120km!

Try this during on a week day around 16:30!

I know you cannot compare the bigger cities (Montreal/Toronto), but they have more land space etc...

I used to live in Gatineau 10 years ago, and it was not that bad crossing the bridges to work. Now, I had to do this not long ago... holy cow!!

And Orleans is getting built like crazy. Go up on Innes Rd and check the new Devs there.

Eventually we will be overwhelmed with traffic! They also are thinking of making a highway from Russell to Carleton Place. Sort of a city by-pass!

Even though it can be somewhat mundane, Ottawa is still a pleseant place to visit. For a brief time, while Victoria was active, Ottawa was the land of milk and honey.

Her advertisement stated: "make your nights sizzle with passion", that was almost an understatement. To this day she remains the apex sp, the perfect mix of GFE/PSE and absolutely irreplaceable.

If she ever came out of retirement I'd create a Vanishing Point all the way up the 401-416.
