The vendor ripped up my receipt so I didn't examine it, but probably from five numbers? I got $134 when I got 5 numbers before.

It's not a huge hit but it still is kinda nice.

The pay out changes accordingly to the number of winners. You can check with OLG to see what it is the pay out for that draw. If the retailer did not return your ticket and the recept you can complain to OLG. 5/7 numbers pays 5% of the pool's fund , 6/7 pays 4%

this is why I only play 1 ticket when the jackpot is $40 million and up. The payout for the smaller prizes is tiny; 5/7 is only $124/134?

Can anyone explain to me why next week Lotto Max draw is 50 million instead of 40 million? Isnt it supposed to increase in increment of 10 million each week if nobody wins?

Probably because May 24 sales (and un-won jackpot) were high enough to warrant a jump to 50 mil.

I would like to believe that, but I think its because they know that the higher the jack pot the more people will buy a lotto ticket. Like the power ball in the US, where when the pot was over $500 million people spent like hundreds of dollars on lottery tickets

It's a combination of both. Big previous sales fatten the pot. Fatter pot means more sales. Using these two aspects the Lottery Corps. 'estimate' the upcoming jackpot.

It's what Toke said AND your theory too.
