What's with Proline not putting the NFL odds on the paper sheet like they used to do? Now you have to look them up online, which is a pain in the ass.

I noticed that too, but you can always ask the place to print it out for you.
Personally I prefer it online. Reason is if you're making a ticket, it calculates your payout.
Not sure if anyone else noticed this, but lets say you take 3 teams on point spread and all 3 teams you picked are 3.5 pt faves (Rare that all your games chosen are 3.5 faves, but it happens). If you look at OLG's money line for those same 3 games, the odds for those games is 1.90 (sometimes 1.80). Their ML is to win by 4 anyways, so the spread stays the same. Anyways, all 3 games at 3.5 spread for $100 gives you a payout of $500. If you play those games via ProLine, the payout for $100 bet is $686. Even if all three dropped to 1.80, the payout is still 583.2.
So if you do end up buying a point spread ticket with all faves at 3.5, might as well buy a ticket with their money line. It's the same with 7.5 spreads, even though a 7.5 is almost as good as a 9.5.

Keebler, this is a fairly subtle change designed to counter the heavy hitters also known as edge players in Proline circles.

If you recall, the OLG only changed Pointspread lines on Thursday night in the past going from the Early Bird lines released on Wednesday to the final lines released on Friday which is good until Sunday. That is no longer the case and they have started changing lines on Saturday night to match industry odds which will limit potential damage.

I also notice they are really pushing Pools, there are always mugshots of Pools winners on the Proline flyer. They are also coming out with a new Pools slip, designed to *simplify* the game for the casual bettors. This is probably one of their biggest money making operation as they don't lose anything and have 40% take, regardless of how many tickets they sell.

And if you made the same parlay bet at an offshore site, the return would be $758.

Proline odds are disgusting. The would be on par if they didnt have the stupid tie rules. You used to be able to combine multi sports tickets, you used to be able to lay bets down on games no matter what. Now they keep tweaking the rules to make it worse and worse. Has anyone won big on here?

The payouts are weak to say the least. You wager say 50 on a game and pick 3 teams, the payout is 5x50 = 250. But it is really 4x as they are giving you your original 50 plus 200 thus 4x. I wager with a book and get 6x for 3 teams. They are screwing you royally.

I absolutely agree, they don't return your wager on winning tickets as do every other normal Sportsbook. The only defence one could make is they need to charge their "juice" in some form, even so, their rake is way too high. A 5 to 1 payout is actually 4 to 1 -as noted in the above quote- is absurd. A quick note, In England they have a Sportsbook shop right on the street, 'Ladbrokes'. I walked in to wager the World cup and later collected my winnings with my receipt. What a fantastic concept.
