Prepaid for my copy today. Can pick it up at 8am that day. Right after work. Have already advised my family and friends not to worry about my absense from the real world. Played the beta weekend. Going to start with a wizard then witch doctor then demon hunter.

I bought a new desktop when I heard of a definate release date. My old rig was 7 years old so it was a good excuse. I still wanted The disk though. I may get a new laptop in the future and that way I can install on both easily. Also save time if there are any transfer issues. God I can't wait!

Defiantly going to play this A LOT, its been a long wait…
I played alot back then. I was still a kid at that time though when D2 came out. I was crazier back then. I stop playing d2 when I got ban from maphack. But I use maphack back then to do magic runs. I won't use it anymore. Apparently battle.net are more serious about the use of hacks now.

And the way they are doing drops have changed. Supposedly the best won't neccessarily be with the bosses/end game but thruoghout. Players will have to explore everywhere. No more easy mf runs and I would bet that bots will not be nearly as effective too. The best will drop in inferno lvl by virtually any monster! And all will be lvl 61. We max at 60. Separate drops for individuals too so no more grab and hope. Gold will be much more important too. Need for a lot of stuff. People will actually have to play the game! Lol. I can't wait!

I thought the new rune words that came out in d2 destroyed the game. It made all the races too powerful.
If I remember correctly, Enigma was an armor that allows any character to use teleport.

I remember making a hammerdin just for that purpose. It was pretty powerful. Using a paladin teleporting around and releasing magic hammers. Same goes with other chars like a necro, trap assassin, elemental druid, etc all can utilize teleport.

Teleport should be a skill only utilize, in this case wizard

But ya, I am so excited. I want this game to come out already.

Right about the rune words being too powerful. But will lay odds some of the magic or set items will give that ability too. Teleport has a cool down now too though so it will be tougher to zip around. I loved the crafting. Adds agreat element not hving to rely on drops for good items. They haven't released the spec on a lot of the stuff yet. Just a promise on the website. Up to 6 mods on magic items though. And I have a feeling they powered up the sets as all need minimum lvl 60 to use. 9 more days!

Definitely picking up a copy. Have not played video games for years, this is the one that'll get me back.

For those curiuos google "the arreat summit". Link to D3 page there. Videos of game play and bios/stats for the new character classes. Skills are very different. No progression for damage. All damage(even for spells) is based on weapon carried and other mods. As char goes up in level runes come into play on the skills to modify their effects. Up to 6 skills (2 on mouse, 4 on keys) are available for immediate use. Also 3 passive skills can be active at the same time. Lots of options. The beta was great. Easy to use and great graphics. 1 week!

Hammerstein

bored and sleepless again
Bought it online and playing when it goes live. Never played either of the first two but the Witch Doctor seems pretty similiar to the WoW warlock, so i am thinking I should do alright. Do like the fact about the AH, actually acn't wait to see the really stupid prices people are gonna slap on the drops that they throw in there.

not digging the battlenet credit limit, the auction house transaction fees for both bid systems or the paypal/cc transfer fees when you max your battlenet limit.

seems like a win win for blizzard only.

I'm liking the new mix of classes. After playing D2 for so long having to explore all the possibilities of the new classes will be great. I think this game will be less about particular builds and more about creative use of all skills at different spots. And ya loving the witch doctor. Lot of humor in some of the skills. Exploding chickens! Falling towers of zombies! I played the demon hunter during the beta weekend too. Nice mix of zon and assassin skills. I can't wait till tuesday!
